I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 660

Chapter 660

Jason set his cup down, glaring at Dax with a stubborn look. “Seriously, what’s your problem? Why are you always picking on me? If anyone’s drinking this coffee first, it’s me. If something goes wrong, I’ll take the fall. Thalia’s not gonna get hurt”

Dax shot back. “If you go down, how long do you think she’ll stay safe?”

“Why are you always acting like something bad’s about to happen?” Jason retorted.

“It’s not that I want trouble,” Dax replied. “But someone’s got their eyes on us. If we slip up even a little, we’re toast.

The two of them started arguing.

Thalia just stared, lost for words.

She typed something on her phone, cranked up the volume, and said, “Shut up.”

They both went silent for a moment. Dax let out a cold laugh, Jason snorted, then turned to Thalia. “Thalia, did you spot anything?”

Thalia turned the volume down, and her phone’s cold, robotic voice said, “Let’s wait until we see Natasha. Until then, don’t Louch anything.”

‘Got it,” Jason replied.

Jason actually listened for once.

Dax scanned the area, staying alert and on guard.

ason shot him a glance and muttered, “You’re overreacting.”

Everyone in this village seemed to adore Natasha. She looked like a decent person. No way she’d do anything to strangers.

But Jason kept those thoughts to himself.

Thalia sat on the couch and glanced at her phone for the time. They’d been here five minutes, but the woman still hadn’t shown up again, and the door stayed quiet.

Something feels off, Thalia thought, a twinge of unease creeping in.

A light floral scent lingered in the air.

She looked around and spotted fresh flowers on the corner tables and windowsills.

The place was cozy. Nothing about it felt cold.

She looked away and kept waiting, trying to stay patient.

But ten minutes slipped by, and Natasha still hadn’t shown up.

Jason yawned a few times and said, “Man, I’m getting sleepy. When’s she coming back? I’m gonna go ask the woman out

front.”

With that, he got up to go look for her.

But Jason barely made it two steps before his body suddenly wobbled, and he staggered, nearly collapsing to the floor.

Dax hurried over and grabbed his arm to steady him.

“What’s wrong with you?” Dax asked.

Jason tried to shake it off, but his head was spinning. “Man, I feel so dizzy…”

Dax’s face suddenly changed. “This is bad!”

But before he could say anything else, his legs buckled, dragging Jason down with him as they both collapsed.

Thalia felt her strength slipping away too. She tried to push herself up from the couch, but she had no strength left.

Her heart kept sinking.

‘It’s over,’ Thalia thought.
