Chapier 003
Chapter 663
Natasha had been in South City for far too long.
She wanted to live a peaceful life, just like her parents wished for her, and move on from the past.

But every night, she’d relive those nightmares, bombs raining from the sky, the horrific scene of her parents consumed by fire.
She simply couldn’t move on.
She never could, not in this lifetime!
To Natasha, Victor was her mortal enemy, someone she could never forgive, not even in death.
She would have her vengeance, no matter what.
She never expected to run into someone else who held a grudge against the Holt family today.
Could this be my chance to finally get some backup? Natasha thought to herself.
‘Maybe we could join forces and take on the Holts together?’
Even if they were nothing but insignificant ants before the Holt family, as long as she could take a piece out of Victor Holt, Natasha was willing to do whatever it took.
Thalia looked into her eyes, saw the fierce fire burning within, and reached out to clasp her hand tightly.
“Alright, let’s team up and get our revenge together!” Thalia said.
“Hey! Let go of Thalia!” Jason suddenly shouted.
Jason woke up to find himself tied up in a basement, and he totally lost it.
He whipped his head around and saw Thalia standing with some girl he’d never seen before.
When he noticed the stranger gripping Thalia’s hand, he immediately snapped, yelling at them.
“Oh my god, what the hell…” Jason yelled.
Behind him, Dax could only let out a long, helpless sigh at Jason’s outburst.
Then, right in front of Natasha’s stunned eyes, Dax effortlessly broke free from his ropes, stood up, and walked over to them.
“Thalia, you alright?” Dax asked, rushing over to check on her.
Dax immediately went over to check on Thalia.
He’d actually woken up as soon as they started talking, but he just lay in wait, secretly untying himself, ready to spring into action at any moment.
If that girl dared to touch Thalia, Dax wouldn’t hesitate to break her neck himself.
No matter if she was some legendary healer or whatever.

But as Dax listened, he started to sense something was off.
‘Hold up, did this girl just mistake Thalia for someone else?
‘And she’s got beef with the same people we do?
‘Man, talk about a crazy coincidence,’ Dax couldn’t help but think.

Once Dax made sure nothing was wrong, he slipped out of his ropes. But to his surprise, Jason suddenly woke up and yelled something totally clueless.
‘Man, I really need to have a word with Darion about Jason, Dax thought. ‘With him acting like this, how’s he ever gonna rescue Wendy?
‘Honestly, at this rate, he’ll probably blow his cover before he even gets close to Wendy, just because he’s so reckless, Dax sighed to himself.
Thalia shook her head at Dax. “I’m good,” she said.
Natasha looked at Dax, both shocked and suspicious. “How’d you manage to get free?”
Dax chuckled, a hint of mockery in his voice. “Your knots were way too simple. Anyone who knows a thing or two could’ve gotten out.”
Natasha looked pretty frustrated, then turned to Thalia. “Hey, can he teach me how to tie more complicated knots?”
Thalia nodded. “Yeah, no problem.”
“Hold on…” Jason finally realized what was happening, scrambling to his feet.
“What the hell is this? You knocked us out, and now you’re acting like you and Thalia are best friends? Have you lost it or something?” he snapped.
This time, Dax didn’t even bother with Jason. He just gave Natasha a cold stare. “Miss, we came here looking for you. We never did anything to hurt you, so why treat us like this?”
Just because we’re after the same people doesn’t mean we can just ignore what happened a minute ago.
‘She knocked us out out of nowhere. That’s on her,’ he added to himself.
Natasha’s eyes darted nervously, full of apology as she looked at Thalia. “Sorry, honestly, I spotted you guys as soon as you showed up at the door.
“When I saw your face, I thought you were related to Victor Holt, like, maybe relatives or something. So I figured I’d better tie you up first and ask questions later.”
