I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 669

Chapter 669 Coughing Up Black Blood

As soon as Thalia sent the message, Darion sent a voice note. When she opened it, his deep, magnetic voice came through, calm and gentle.

“Hey, Thalia, did I scare you?” Darion’s voice was soft, almost like he was coaxing a child.

‘Seriously, what’s he playing at with that coddling tone?’ Thalia thought, rolling her

eyes.

She just turned off her phone and ignored him.

Downstairs, Jason was video chatting with Darion.

Mid-conversation, Darion suddenly hung up. Jason was just about to ask what was up

when Darion called back.

Jason looked confused. “Darion, what were you doing just now?”

Darion replied coolly, “None of your business.”

Jason said, “So that’s pretty much everything that happened today. You had Ethan, that old guy, dig into Natasha, but honestly, I think she’s legit. I don’t think she’s trying to fool us.”

Darion replied coolly, “Why didn’t you mention how you acted today?”

Jason totally flipped out. “Who told you? Who was it?”

Darion scoffed. “Jason, you’re anything but steady. You panic at the slightest trouble and never think things through. How am I supposed to trust you to go after Wendy?”

Jason’s expression froze. After a long silence, he finally said, “Darion, I’m really anxious. Honestly, every night I dream about her being taken away from the wedding. I reach for her again and again, but every time, she’s just out of reach…”

His voice was laced with pain. “I’m really worried.”

“But if you can’t even find her, what’s the use of being anxious? Why not take this time. to settle yourself, let yourself grow? Maybe when you’ve truly matured, you’ll get news about her, and then you can bring her back,” Darion said, mercilessly dousing his hopes.

Jason’s voice was strained as he replied, “I understand.”

“Get it together. Don’t disappoint me,” Darion said bluntly, then hung up.

Jason flopped onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. After a long pause, he exhaled sharply.

Chapter 669 Coughing Up Black Blood

The next morning, Thalia woke up and immediately noticed her throat felt weird.

She got up, headed to the bathroom, doubled over the sink, dry heaving, and spat out some black blood.

Instead of cleaning up right away, she went to find Natasha.

Thalia dragged Natasha out of bed.

“What’s going on? What’s wrong?” Natasha mumbled, still half-asleep.

Natasha was so out of it, she didn’t even ask what was up until Thalia hauled her into the next room.

Thalia pulled her into the bathroom, pointed at the black blood in the toilet, then at her own throat, showing she’d just spit it up.

Natasha yawned, then gave Thalia a sleepy look and said, “Open your mouth.”

Thalia did as she was told, opening her mouth, black blood still smeared across her

teeth.

Then Natasha checked her pulse, eyes closed, her head bobbing like she might drift off at any moment.

Thalia pressed her lips together, feeling a bit anxious.

‘Is Natasha really going to just fall asleep like this?
