Chapter 672 I Want To Hold You
The hospital room was quiet, the silence broken only by the soft rustle of gauze.
Thalia stood to the side, watching, so tense she could barely breathe.
Natasha carefully examined Darion Blackburn’s eyes, then dipped a cotton swab into the medicine from his eye and sniffed it, taking her time to figure it out. “This medicine only helps with the pain,” she said. “It won’t do anything to help your vision.”
Darion’s expression stayed the same. “So, Dr. Natasha, do you have any ideas?” he
asked.
“Of course,” Natasha replied.
She tossed the cotton swab aside, then carefully rewrapped the gauze around his eyes. She pulled over a chair, sat down, and took his wrist, checking his pulse.
Darion’s fingers curled slightly.
“Hey, don’t hit me! I’m just checking your pulse!” Natasha noticed his reaction and hurried to explain.
“Mm,” Darion replied.
He didn’t move again.
Seeing him relax, Natasha let out a sigh of relief and turned to Thalia. “Your husband is so intimidating. How do you deal with him?”
Darion’s brow twitched. ‘Did she just say that with me right here?’ he thought.
Isn’t that kind of rude?’
Thalia’s gaze flickered, but she didn’t respond.

“Thank you,” Darion said, his tone a little softer.
“I’ll have my assistant get in touch with you,” he added.
Natasha’s eyes lit up. “So, are you about to write me a check? Does that mean I get to name my price?”
Darion said, “If you can fix us up, you can ask for anything.”
Natasha’s eyes sparkled even brighter, and she rubbed her hands together eagerly. ” Alright, alright, I’ll give it my all! If I get you two back on your feet, I’ll be set for life!”
With that, she left the room to hunt down the hospital doctor and get Darion’s previous

“Thalia,” Darion called softly.
Darion called her name again.
“Mm,” Thalia replied.
She answered, letting him know she was still here, hadn’t gone anywhere.
Darion turned toward her, following her voice, his tone gentle. “Were you scared yesterday?”
Thalia tapped out a reply on her phone. “I was okay.”
As long as she was still breathing, there was always hope.
And as it turned out, everything from yesterday was just a misunderstanding.
Darion said, “I had my people check her out. Turns out, everything she said was legit.”
Thalia answered softly again.
“Thalia,” Darion called again.
“Mm,” Thalia replied.
“Thalia,” Darion called again.
“Thalia,” Darion called again.
