Chapter 675 You Won’t Leave Me
Later that evening, Natasha Riley showed up at Darion’s hospital room, carrying a bowl of herbal soup. Her gaze was evasive, and she looked uneasy.
Thalia was sitting nearby. When she saw Natasha, she smiled at her, but immediately sensed something was off. Confusion flickered across her face as she typed out her question on her phone, and the cold, mechanical voice filled the room.
“Natasha, what’s wrong?” Thalia’s phone asked.
“Uh…” Natasha hesitated, looking a little awkward.
Her expression turned awkward as she stammered, “I think I might have messed up.”
‘What happened?” Darion asked, his voice low and serious.
Natasha set the bowl of soup aside, nervously twisting her fingers and lowering her head. “I called Helen this afternoon. She asked about your condition, and I just told her everything without thinking.
‘But I realized she had no idea how serious your injuries were. Did I make things harder for you guys?”
After saying that, she looked anxiously at Thalia.
Thalia paused, her long lashes trembling. Then she typed out a reply, and the electronic voice spoke again, “It’s fine. She was bound to find out eventually. You don’t need to feel guilty. This isn’t on you.”
‘Really?” Natasha let out a sigh of relief, patting her chest. “I thought I’d really messed up. I’ve been on edge all afternoon. That’s why I didn’t dare come see you guys. I was
so scared.”
Natasha was always easygoing and spoke her mind, never caring much about what others thought. Now that she was finally relaxed, she grinned and said, “Alright, that’s a relief. Here, time for your medicine.”
Thalia picked up the bowl and handed it to Darion, but this time, he didn’t take it.
Natasha looked at him, puzzled. “What’s wrong? Is it too hot?”
“Go outside,” Darion said.
Natasha paused, glancing back and forth between them. Then, realization dawned on her face and she got up, nodding. “Alright, I’ll head out. I’ll be right outside. Just holler if you need me.”
She quickly left the room, thoughtfully closing the door behind her.
“Thalia,” Darion said softly.
After making sure they were alone, he turned to her, his voice rough with emotion.”
Chapter 675 You Won’t Leave Me
You won’t leave me, will you?”
Thalia gazed at him, seeing how pale and fragile he looked beneath the white bandages.
This was a side of him she’d never seen before.
She answered quietly, “I won’t.”
But Darion still looked uneasy, his voice tense as he pressed, “No matter what anyone says to you, you won’t leave me, right?”
Who could blame him for feeling uneasy?
Last time, Thalia listened to Helen, and together they teamed up to send Miya into his room. Just to make sure nothing unexpected happened, Thalia even drugged him
herself.
