Chapter 687 Crying Her Eyes Out
Vendy let out a muffled sound, “Mm!” as she struggled.
she couldn’t take it anymore. Her chest felt tight, her throat constricted. She pushed Įuinn away with all her strength, her nails scratching lines across his neck.
But Quinn was relentless, kissing her as if he’d forgotten everything else.
Only when Wendy’s resistance faded did he finally let go, sweeping her into his
mbrace.
You will. You’ll fall for me. You have to,” Quinn murmured, his voice low and
ossessive.
Vendy gasped for air, her vision swimming with stars. She felt like she could die at any
noment.
This devil! Fall for him?!
Not in this life, not in the next, not ever!’ she swore to herself, her heart pounding with inger and disbelief.
Quinn’s mood shifted quickly. Soon, a smile returned to his face as he picked out a ght pink silk dress for her. As he helped her change, his eyes grew even darker, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he tried to control himself.
Baby, you’re so beautiful,” Quinn murmured, his voice low and full of longing.
He couldn’t help but kiss the back of her hand. “You’re the most beautiful doll I’ve ever
een.”
My very own doll,’ Quinn thought, a fierce possessiveness surging in his heart.
Vendy jerked her hand away, her voice icy. “Why don’t you just go die?”
Quinn just shrugged it off, grabbed her hand again, and led her out of the room
traight to the dining area on this floor.
The square table was loaded with local specialties. The servants lifted the warming covers, revealing a spread of mouthwatering dishes right in front of Wendy.
Quinn pulled out a chair for her, then handed her a fork. “Baby, give it a try.”
Wendy didn’t say a word, just ate in silence. But as soon as the food touched her lips, a bang of homesickness hit her, and her heart ached with longing.
She missed home.
She missed her mom.
Even though Mrs. Adkins was always trying to set her up on blind dates, as if she was worried Wendy would never find someone, she really did care about her.
Chapter 687 Crying Her Eye’s Out
She’d cook Wendy’s favorite meals every day, always updating her wardrobe with the newest styles, and if Wendy ever casually mentioned wanting something, Mrs. Adkins would make it happen.
Wendy’s vision blurred. She couldn’t even swallow a single bite before her tears started falling, like pearls spilling from a broken string.
“Baby, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Quinn had been watching her anxiously, waiting for her opinion, but when he saw her start to cry, he was at a loss.
He enjoyed her tears, but only in the bedroom.
At other times, he much preferred watching her smile, seeing her get angry, or just being her vibrant, animated self.
He carefully wiped away her tears. “Baby, don’t cry. Is the food not to your liking? If you don’t want it, we can skip it.”
He spun around, furious, and snapped, “Get rid of all of it!”
The servants scrambled, quickly removing every dish from the table.
Quinn gathered Wendy into his arms. “Baby, don’t cry. If the food’s bad, we’ll just skip it. Please, don’t cry. Seeing you like this breaks my heart.”
“Let go of me!” Wendy suddenly struggled violently.
“It tastes terrible! Really, really bad!” she shouted.
But Quinn didn’t let go. “Alright, alright, it’s awful. We won’t eat it. We won’t eat it.”
“Go away! Get off me!” Wendy cried out, her voice shaking with desperation.
No matter how hard she tried to push him away, he wouldn’t budge. Just like her situation, no matter what she did, there was simply no escape.
She missed home so much it was driving her insane.
But there was no way for her to go back.
Her tears poured out, and she started crying her eyes out, completely losing control.
She was just like a lost little kid. Crying was all she could do.
Quinn had never seen this side of her before. Whenever she was upset, she’d just let
silent tears fall, shooting him a defiant, angry look.
But now, seeing her break down like this, he totally panicked.
“Baby, please don’t cry. What do you want? Diamonds? Jade? Gold? Anything you want, just tell me and I’ll make it happen,” Quinn asked, scrambling for words.
