Chapter 688 You Can’t Go Back
“I want to go home!” Wendy screamed.
Wendy Adkins broke down, shouting at the top of her lungs, her whole body shaking with sobs.
Quinn’s face went rigid, his blue eyes locked on her. “Do you really have to leave me?”
Wendy wiped her face with the back of her hand and said, “I don’t like you at all. I don’t want to be with you. I’m already married, but you brought me here. This is illegal detention! I don’t want to see you, not even a little bit!”
Quinn’s expression grew cold as he slowly stood up, looming over her.
The pressure he gave off made Wendy too scared to cry out, but she couldn’t stop herself from sobbing. Tears blurred her eyes as she looked at him and asked, her voice muffled, “Are you going to kill me?”
Then she lifted her chin. “If you’re just going to keep me locked up here, you might as well kill me!”
If he killed her, maybe her soul could finally go home, and she might get to see her family and friends again.
Even if that’s how it had to be.
Boohoo… Wendy was bawling her eyes out.
‘Man, I’m such a mess, Wendy thought.
Just imagining that scene made Wendy’s tears pour out even harder. She didn’t even care about Quinn anymore, just bawling her eyes out all over again.
Quinn clenched his fists at his sides, struggling for a moment before finally saying, ” How about I take you out on the water? Want to see the sunset or the sunrise? We could catch both if you want.”
“No, I don’t want to. I just want to go home,” Wendy insisted.
“Baby,” Quinn’s voice softened, almost tender. “You can’t go back. You’re not going anywhere until you love me. So, either let me take you out to sea, or you stay here.”
“You’re such a bastard!” Wendy shouted.
“Why don’t you just drop dead? Why hasn’t someone just killed you already?”
Quinn bent down and pulled her into his arms. “No one can kill me. I’m not dying anytime soon. I’ll stay alive until the day you finally love me.”
Wendy slapped him hard across the fully

caught her hand, gently blew on it, then kissed it. “Baby, does it hurt?”
‘He’s insane! Completely insane!’ Wendy thought.
Wendy’s whole body trembled, her gaze filled with terror as she stared at him.
But Quinn reached out and covered her eyes. He couldn’t stand seeing that terrified look in her eyes.
‘I love her so much. How could she possibly be afraid of me?’ Quinn thought.
Quinn carried her in his arms. “I’m taking you out to sea. We’ll watch the sunrise and sunset together.”
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. “Baby, the scenery out there is beautiful. I’m sure you’ll love it.”
Quinn was all action, no hesitation. He immediately ordered his people to prepare for the trip. The cruise ship was already docked and ready, and once everything was set, he took her aboard.
The breeze out on the water was soft, and with the afternoon sun still high, sunset
was still a few hours away.
The sea was peaceful, and Wendy was finally starting to calm down, even though her eyes were puffy and red from all the crying.
