Darion’s large, slender hands gently held Thalia’s foot, massaging it with a light touch. The ache was faint, but the sensation was hard to ignore.
“No.” Thalia said, her face cold as she refused.
Darion’s sharp brows furrowed, his piercing gaze locked onto her. “Then what do you suggest?”
Thalia turned her gaze away. In the dim light, her profile looked even more delicate, but her attitude was even more distant.
“Don’t bring it up. It’s better if we keep to ourselves and don’t interfere with each other,” she said. For now, she wasn’t ready to divorce, but she knew she couldn’t go back to how things were at the start.
Thalia sucked in a sharp breath as a sudden, piercing pain shot through her foot. She shot Darion a glare. “Did you do that on purpose?”
Darion said in a low voice. “It’s your body that’s the problem. That’s why it hurts.”
Thalia struggled, trying to pull her foot away. “Let go! Get a real masseur. You’re terrible at this.” His massage hurt like hell.
“Thalia, pain is totally normal.” Wendy called out from the next room, sounding like she knew everything.
Just then, Wendy chimed in from the next room, looking like she knew it all, “Darion might be useless at everything else, but at least he’s got some real strength in his hands. When he massages your foot, you feel something.
“Unlike Darion, Jason is tickling me. His touch is so light. I’m about to fall asleep over here.”
Jason blinked, totally baffled. His eyes widened, and he dug his fingers in a bit harder. “You think I’m just tickling you? Well, how about now? Is this strong enough for you?”
Wendy let out a dramatic sigh. “Are you starving or something?”
Jason just stared, speechless. Then his jaw tightened. He couldn’t take it anymore. His gaze bored into her foot like he could drill a hole right through it.
“Is this strong enough for you now?” he asked, his voice full of frustration.
Wendy kept her eyes closed. “It’s okay, I suppose.”
Jason just stared in silence. He looked around, spotted a gadget, and grabbed it right away.
The next second, Wendy howled, almost jumping off the massage table, “What are you using on me?”.
Jason shot back, ‘Is this strong enough for you now?”
Wendy tried to escape, but Jason wasn’t letting her go. “Come on! Didn’t you say I wasn’t strong enough before? Well, this has to be enough now, right? Is this better?”
Wendy shrieked, “Ow, ow, ow!”
Thalia’s expression went blank as she withdrew her gaze from the ruckus next door and looked at Darion, who was still working on her foot.

So he’s kind of gentle Thalia mused.
The chaos and shouting in the private room never stopped for a second.

Wendy kept cursing. You lapdog! I bet you’re taking it out on me. All I did was call that jerk a few names. Isn’t he a jerk. anyway?”
Jason raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you say I wasn’t strong enough? I’m just trying to give you what you asked for.”
Wendy glared at him, grinding her teeth, and refused to respond.
Jason and Darion left first, leaving Wendy and Thalia alone in the private room.
Wendy limped over, muttering, “Who knew that jerk could actually massage? Bet he’s done this for Miya, that skank, before.”
Thalia shot her a blank look. “Suddenly, I feel like chopping my foot off.”
Wendy quickly covered her mouth. “I was just saying. Don’t take it seriously.”
After changing, they stepped out of the private room and saw Darion and Jason standing not far away. The boss of this day spa was wearing a fawning smile, chatting with them.
