Chapter 70
Thalia dodged Darion’s hand and pressed on. Who did you put on the blacklist?”
He looked at her, the faint curve of his lips fading. “It’s getting late.”
Thalia ignored him and turned to the boss of the day spa. “Did you blacklist me?”
The boss immediately looked away, his guilty expression making it clear what was going on.

Thalia crossed her arms and sneered. “Do you think your day spa is the only place in Oakwood where people can get a massage?” She spun around and left.
Wendy stood off to the side, eyes wide in disbelief. “You bastard, how can you be so petty? You get to act all lovey-dovey with Miya, but you won’t let Thalia come here for a massage and chill?”
Darion’s eyes turned icy. “Where did you ever see me getting cozy with her?”
Wendy scoffed, “Do I even need to see it? The whole circle’s gossiping about you two. If you’re so into Miya, go after her and stop messing with Thalia.”
Darion’s voice grew darker. “If you didn’t see it, why are you running your mouth? Didn’t last time teach you anything?”
“You!” Wendy snapped, her face instantly falling. Her expression soured in an instant.
She shot Darion a venomous glare. “Yeah, you think you re so great, but your wife wants nothing to do with you. With that, she spun around and stormed off.
Jason, standing off to the side, couldn’t help but say, “She’s got some guts. I wouldn’t even dare to curse you like that.”
Darion shot him a frosty look. “Oh? You want to curse me, too?
“No way!” Jason quickly waved his hands and shook his head. “Darion, you’ve got it all wrong. I wouldn’t dare.”
Darion turned away with a cold look and headed out of the day spa. Once outside. Thalia was already gone. There was no sign of her anywhere.
A suffocating tightness gripped his chest. Just then, his phone rang. He pulled it out, saw who was calling, and picked up. “Hello?”
Matthew’s voice came through, upbeat as ever. “Hey, you’re out of the hospital, right? Can you drink yet? I’ve been back for a few days. Let’s get the crew together and have some fun.”
Darion gazed at the city wrapped in dusk and said, “Send me the address.”
Wendy was still ranting in the car, muttering angrily under her breath. She turned to Thalia and said, “So, what was all that about earlier? You’re not getting divorced anymore?”
Thalia’s breath tightened before she answered. “Yeah, we’re putting the divorce on hold for now.”
Wendy caught the tension on Thalia’s face and instantly knew something was up. She switched gears and asked, “Did you tell Matthew yet?
Thalia blinked, a little stunned. “Oh. I totally forgot.”

“I was just about to call you. Guess we’re on the same wavelength, huh?” Matthew’s voice came through, full of laughter.
Thalia tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said. “Yeah, I guess so. There’s something I need to talk to you about ”
“It’s better to talk face-to-face, Matthew said. ‘I’ll send you the address. Come over when you can.”
Thalia thought it made sense and agreed. “Alright. I’ll be there soon.”
The address Matthew sent was for an upscale club, a place where you could chill, party, and even book a private karaoke room, all under one roof.
