Chapter 694 Mom And Dad Are Back
There was a pleading look in Jason’s eyes; he looked so lost, and his shoulders were hunched as if weighed down by everything.
He looked so miserable that Thalia felt really bad for him.
She couldn’t help but tighten her grip on her phone.
“Thalia,” Jason called softly.
Seeing her expression, Jason took a step forward. “Just let me see her. I just want to know if she’s okay. I won’t just rush out to find her. I know I’m not good enough yet to bring her back. I just want to see her…”
Her long lashes quivered, and her clear eyes showed both pity and helplessness. In the end, Thalia handed him her phone.
Jason tensed up as he held the phone, lowering his gaze to the photo.
When he saw it was a selfie Quinn had taken of himself and Wendy, rage and bitterness flashed in his eyes.
He couldn’t help but think back to the day of the wedding.
He’d almost pulled it off. Just a little more, and Wendy would’ve been his wife.
But that scumbag had snatched her away.
Jason gritted his teeth in anger.
He took a deep breath and looked at Wendy again.
He scanned every inch of the photo, not missing a single detail. When he saw she was unharmed and her eyes were still as clear and bright as ever, he finally let out a sigh of
relief.
Thank goodness,’ he thought.
She’s safe. She’s alright!’
Jason handed the phone back to Thalia, his voice weighed down with emotion.” Darion, do your best to find her soon. I want to bring her back. She’s been alone
overseas for so long. I’m sure she misses home.”
“Alright,” Darion replied.
His expression remained unreadable, the white bandages covering his eyes making it impossible to tell what he was feeling.
Thalia helped him to the hospital bed and sat down beside him. Jason turned and left the room, leaving a heavy silence in the air.
Just then, the door to the hospital room was suddenly pushed open.
Chapter 694 Mom And Dad Are Back ‘Darion!”
A shaky voice rang out.
Thalia whipped her head around and saw two middle-aged people rush in. The woman in front was Helen, and behind her was Richard, Darion’s father.
Darion paused for a moment when he heard the voice, turning his head slightly as he listened to their footsteps drawing closer.
Helen rushed up to him, her bag slipping from her hand and hitting the floor. Tears streamed down her face as she reached out to touch him, but her hands froze halfway, her fingers trembling uncontrollably.
‘Darion, how… how did you end up like this?” Helen choked out, her voice thick with emotion.
But Darion’s voice was surprisingly calm. “I’m fine.”
