I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 695

Chapter 695 Kill Your Mother

But who could have guessed they’d start talking about divorce, and that danger would start lurking around Thalia?

Helen never regretted the choices she made. Even now, she still wanted to get rid of Thalia.

Darion was the only son she had left. She couldn’t bear to lose him, too.

Darion’s whole body went rigid. He grabbed Helen’s arm and pushed her away. “Mom, I’ m already getting treatment. I’ll get better. You don’t have to worry about me.”

“Hmph!”

Just then, Richard, who had been silent, let out a cold snort. “All because of some woman, you’ve turned your life into a mess. Is this how you repay your family?

“You keep telling Mom not to worry, but why don’t you actually do something to ease her mind? You already caused Emely’s death. Are you trying to kill your mother, too?”

“Richard!” Helen snapped, whipping around to glare at him and cutting him off.

She shot him a fierce look, her tone sharp as she rebuked him, making it clear he needed to stop talking right now.

Richard sat in a chair off to the side, his expression icy. “I’m not saying anything wrong. If he keeps refusing to see reason, he’ll end up getting you killed. He won’t be happy until everyone in the Blackburn family is dead.”

“Stop it!” Helen was clearly upset. We agreed not to bring up the past anymore. Why do you have to cut us open with old wounds the moment you walk in?

“Darion’s already so hurt. If you can’t even comfort him, could you just keep quiet?” Helen pleaded, her eyes red and desperate.

Richard frowned at Helen, then turned his icy gaze to Thalia. “Why are you still here?”

he asked, his tone cold.

Thalia instantly tensed, feeling an intense pressure bearing down on her. She pressed her lips together, trying not to show how nervous she was.

Just then, her hand was suddenly held gently in his warm grasp.

Darion’s big hand enveloped her small one, letting his warmth flow into her. He said in a deep, steady voice, “She’s my wife. I’m sick. Of course she’s here to take care of me. What else would you expect? If you don’t like it, you can leave.”

Richard sneered.

He fixed his gaze on Darion, even though Darion couldn’t see him, it was as if father and son were locked in a silent standoff, the air between them thick with the scent of

gunpowder.

Helen jumped in, “Both of you, quiet! One of you needs to rest up after getting hurt, and the other just got off a plane and needs to chill. Not another word from either of you!”

Then she turned back to Darion, her voice softening. “Darion, what did the doctor say? And where’s Natasha? Why isn’t she here?”

Darion replied calmly, “Dr. Riley does acupuncture for me every day, and I’m drinking herbal remedies. The detox therapy is still ongoing.”

Helen nodded. “That’s good. Natasha inherited her parents’ medical skills, and she’s really dedicated. I’m sure she’ll figure out a way to help you.”

Then Helen fixed her cold gaze on Thalia’s face. “Tell me, how did Darion get hurt?”

“Mom,” Darion said, his tone noticeably colder. “She’s injured too. Don’t press her.”

“She doesn’t look hurt to me,” Helen shot back, her brows furrowing.

“You’re the one who’s really messed up.”
