I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 696

Chapter 696 Not Getting Divorced?

The room fell silent for a moment.

After a while, Helen finally asked, “So, you’re not getting divorced?”

Thalia felt Darion’s hand tighten around hers. She glanced up at him, but his face

remained calm, giving nothing away.

Darion replied, “Yeah.”

Helen let out a heavy sigh and sat down. “If you’re not getting divorced, then what was

all that drama for? You turned both families upside down.”

Darion’s tone grew colder. “I crossed the line and hurt Thalia. I was wrong, and I deserve to be punished.”

Helen looked at him with a complicated expression, but quickly remembered he couldn’t see her face. She hesitated, then started, “Darion, actually…”

“Mom,” Darion interrupted her.

“You must be tired after the flight. Why don’t you guys get some rest at a hotel nearby? Dr. Riley said I’ll be discharged soon anyway,” he said.

Helen pressed her lips together and said, “Okay.”

Then she turned to Richard Blackburn. “Let’s go to the hotel.”

Richard Blackburn frowned, giving Darion a displeased look. He was about to say something, but Helen caught his arm just in time and led him out of the room.

Once they were outside the hospital, Helen couldn’t help but say, “Didn’t we agree? If you wanted to scold him, you should’ve just kept quiet. Why is it that you can’t hold back every time you see him?”

Richard Blackburn looked around at the familiar sights of Oakwood, a flash of grief in his eyes. “The moment the plane landed, I thought of Emely. Every time I went abroad for work, he’d always be there at the airport to pick me up.”

His voice grew hoarse and strained. “Once we got in the car, he’d tell me about what was going on at home, and how things were going at the company.”

Helen’s heart ached as she listened. She wiped away a tear and said, “Richard, it’s been four years. It’s time to let it go. We’ve all moved on.”

Richard Blackburn took a deep breath. “Let’s just head back to Oakwood and visit Emely.”

Helen paused for a moment, then said, “You go ahead. I’ll stay here with Darion. Once he’s discharged, we’ll go back together.”

“Okay,” Richard replied.

He didn’t insist. Instead, he got in the car and headed back to the airport.

‘Thalia,” Darion said, turning to face her.

His voice was low and a bit somber. “Let’s keep it from them for now. We’re still planning to get divorced, okay?”

He tugged at the corner of his mouth, giving a faint smile. “Didn’t you say that if my eyes never get better, you’d stick with me, right?”

Suddenly, Thalia pinched his arm. Darion gasped, then complained, sounding a bit wronged, “Thalia, you hit me.”

Thalia pulled her hand back and started tapping away on her phone. “You’ll get your vision back, I know it.”
