Chapter 713 Driving Someone Away
A servant stepped forward to help Darion toward his room. He said coolly, “Diana won’t be leaving anymore. You can go now.”
Bonnie’s face turned even paler. She bit her lip and whispered, “I know.”
She turned and left Rosewood Manor. As soon as she stepped outside the gate, her eyes welled up with tears.
He’s so cold to me, Bonnie thought.
Thalia had a nap, and when she woke up, she felt a hand gently stroking her hair. She turned her head and met Diana’s loving gaze.
‘Thalia, did you sleep well?” Diana asked, her voice gentle and her face full of motherly
concern.
Thalia turned and hugged her, nodding.
This was the most peaceful sleep she’d ever had.
With Diana by her side, Thalia felt warm and truly comfortable.
Diana gently stroked her back and said, “I know you’re keeping a lot from me, and I won’t push you. Whenever you feel like talking, just let me know. But you have to promise me one thing.”
She softly pushed Thalia away and looked her straight in the eye. “If you ever run into trouble, you have to tell me first. I don’t want to hear about you from anyone else.”
Thalia pressed her lips together, her eyes grew hot with tears, and she nodded firmly. She was filled with guilt toward Diana.
She still made Diana go through all that worry and fear because of her.
Knock, knock.
Someone knocked softly at the door.
“Who is it?” Diana asked.
Diana stood up, her face full of confusion as she glanced toward the door.
“Diana, it’s me. Dinner’s ready. Are you two hungry?” Darion’s voice came from outside the door.
Diana turned to Thalia. “Now that you’re awake lot’s go eat. I made your favorite,
blackened fish.”
Successfully unlocked!
Thalia’s eyes lit up, and a bright smile spread across her face.
Chapter 713 Driving Someone Away
Diana turned to the door and said, “We’ll be down soon.”
“Okay,” Darion replied.
Thalia washed up, feeling energized, and headed downstairs with Diana.
Diana looked around with a puzzled expression. “Where’s Bonnie?”
She realized she’d forgotten to make arrangements for Bonnie earlier, but since Bonnie was already working here, she assumed someone would have taken care of
her.
Darion replied coolly, “She had something to take care of, so she left.”
Natasha immediately glanced at him. ‘He’s lying!’ she thought.
She’d seen everything. He was the one who sent Bonnie away!
Natasha let out a small huff and kept quiet.
Diana glanced at her, noticed the disdainful look Natasha gave Darion, and turned away without another word.
Helen smiled and said, “Diana, I didn’t know you were here. I came back a bit suddenly. Hope I didn’t startle you.”
Diana shook her head. “Darion’s been taking good care of me lately.”
Helen replied, “He’s your grandson-in-law. That’s what he’s supposed to do. You don’t have to be polite with him, just boss him around however you want.”
Diana smiled kindly. “Darion’s always been so thoughtful. Now that he’s injured, what matters most is that he gets plenty of rest. I’m still able-bodied, so I can help take care of everyone too.”
Helen quickly added, “Since I’ll be living here from now on, you can leave everything to me. I wouldn’t dream of letting you do all the work, Diana.”
Then Helen turned to Darion and sighed, “I really wonder how your grandmother’s managing by herself abroad.”
Darion said flatly, “If you’re that worried, just go see her. Or stay there with her if you want.”
