‘I’ll serve Darry some food too!” Keith chimed in, picking out his favorite dishes and carefully placing them into Darion’s plate.

Keith’s big eyes were locked onto Darion as he asked, “Should I feed you, Darry?”

Darion smiled and said, “That’s okay, just focus on yourself.”

Keith said, “I can take care of myself, and I can take care of you too, Darry. I’m all grown up now!”

His voice was still babyish and sweet, but he already showed a bit of maturity.

‘You’re really great, Keith,” Darion praised him without hesitation.

Keith grinned and asked, “When is the robot puppy coming?”

“Yay!” Keith was over the moon, already imagining what the robot puppy would look like.

The mood at the dinner table lightened up.

After dinner, Helen said, “Darion, have a maid stay in your room tonight. You and Thalia should stay in separate rooms for now. You can’t see, and she can’t talk. There’s just no way you two can take care of each other right now. I really think it’s better if you stay apart for now.”

Darion just shrugged and said, “I’m good with things as they are.”

Thalia nodded in agreement with Helen, tapping out her reply on her phone. The cold, robotic female voice spoke up, “I agree.”

Darion’s brows knitted together, hidden behind the white bandages, but everyone could feel the cold aura settling over him.
