Chapter 736 A Chance Encounter
Chapter 736 A Chance Encounter
Thalia typed on her phone, “I’ve already found a doctor, and she’s amazing. Thanks, though.”
Sebastian paused for a moment before replying, “Honestly, it’s a little weird talking to you like this. It just makes me worry about you even more. Can you tell me what happened? Maybe I can help.”
Thalia smiled and typed back, “It was just an accident. I’ll be back to normal soon.”
Sebastian replied, “Yeah, just focus on getting better. I really want to talk to you in person again.”
Thalia smiled and didn’t type back. Just then, her phone buzzed. She glanced down and saw a message from Bonnie.
Bonnie: [Thalia, did Mr. Flynn go to see you?]
Bonnie: [I ran into Mr. Flynn by chance at a lecture at our university. I ended up talking to him and mentioned you. Thalia, I’m sorry. I just realized it might not have been a good idea to bring you up.]
Bonnie: [Thalia, I know I messed up.]
Even through the screen, Thalia could feel Bonnie’s nervousness. A trace of helplessness flickered in her eyes.
Thalia: [It’s fine. It wasn’t really a secret, so don’t blame yourself.]
Bonnie: [Really? As long as you’re not upset with me, that’s all that matters.]
Bonnie: [Thalia, when do you have time? Let’s grab a meal together.]
Thalia: [Just focus on your own things for now. I’ll let you know when I’m free.]
Bonnie: [Alright.]
When they arrived at the restaurant, Sebastian led Thalia toward the private room. As they made their way upstairs, a middle-aged woman appeared, coming from the opposite direction.
“Sebastian,” the woman greeted with a smile, reaching out to shake his hand. “What a coincidence! I didn’t expect to bump into you here.”
Sebastian smiled warmly. “Ms. Perry, I didn’t expect to see you either. When did you get back to Oakwood?”
Ms. Perry replied, “I got back yesterday. Just came here for a simple meal today.”
Then her gaze landed on Thalia, and her smile grew even warmer. “Sebastian, is this

your girlfriend? She’s gorgeous. Looks like your family can stop worrying about your
love life now.”
Sebastian gave a helpless smile. “Ms. Perry, that’s not it. She’s just a friend, and she’s actually married.”
“Oh, got it. Sorry, I guess I got ahead of myself,” Ms. Perry said, turning to Thalia. “My apologies.”
Thalia smiled and shook her head.
Ms. Perry looked at Thalia for a moment, then suddenly asked, “Are you not feeling
well?”
Sebastian looked surprised and said, “Ms. Perry, you always notice these things. She’s actually not feeling well. I was thinking about asking you to check her out. Are you available?”
Thalia glanced at him, her eyes showing a bit of helplessness.
Sebastian leaned in and said, “Since we happened to run into Ms. Perry, maybe she could take a look at you? It might help.”
Ms. Perry nodded. “Sure, I’ve got nothing going on right now.”
Sebastian said, “Let’s head inside and talk things over.”
Ms. Perry nodded and followed them into the private room.
Thalia couldn’t help but text Sebastian: [Is this really okay? Ms. Perry already had plans with her friends.]
Sebastian: [It’s fine. I’ll pay for their meal later. Ms. Perry and I have known each other for years, so you really don’t have to stress about it.]
