Sebastian spoke with an easy familiarity, his tone full of warmth. He meant well, and Thalia couldn’t find a reason to turn him down.

“Alright, I’m heading out. You two enjoy your meal,” Ms. Perry said, then headed off to another private room.

Sebastian went to the front desk and paid for both private rooms in advance. When he came back, he saw Thalia waving her phone at him.
