Chapter 754 Battle Of The Alphas
“I’ll make the appointment tomorrow. You’re coming with me,” Thalia said.
She replied in a cold, robotic tone, making the decision for him: he was going to get his eyes checked.
Darion pressed his forehead to hers, his breathing was a bit heavy as he murmured his
agreement.
After that kiss, if he tried to back out now, she’d be seriously pissed.
Thalia left the master bedroom and headed downstairs to the living room, where she sent a message to Sebastian.
Sebastian: [Sure, I’ll set up the appointment with Ms. Perry.]
Sebastian: [Is your voice almost back to normal?]
Thalia: [Yeah.]
Sebastian: [That’s great. I’m already looking forward to the day you can speak again.]
Thalia: [Me too.]
Then Sebastian told her that Ms. Perry had cleared his schedule for tomorrow morning at the Regal Hotel.
Thalia agreed.
With something to look forward to, everyone was in high spirits and time just flew by. The next day, the three of them headed out together.
Darion kept a calm, unreadable look on his face and barely said a word once he got in
the car.
Natasha sat in the passenger seat, glanced at the two in the rearview mirror, and cleared her throat. “Once we’re done, how about we go hang out somewhere?”
Thalia messaged, “Where do you want to go?”
Natasha said, “Ever since I got to Oakwood, I’ve pretty much been stuck at your place. Haven’t really gone out at all. Even just wandering around the mall sounds good. I just need to stretch my legs and get some air.”
Thalia nodded, thinking it was a good idea.
But Darion said, “You guys go hang out. Just drop me back home afterward.”
“Don’t be like that,” Natasha said.
She chimed in, “You need to get s Successfully unlocked! taying home all day is boring.”
“I work out every day,” Darion replied, his tone cool.
Chapher Barte The Alphas
Natasha paused for a moment before teasing, “No wonder you’re in such great shape Are you working out so hard just to keep Thalia by your side?”
At that, Thalia’s gaze instinctively landed on Darion.
When he was in the hospital, his muscles had lost a bit of definition, but after he got out, he started working out every single day, without fail, for an hour.
His muscles gradually tightened up again, the lines becoming sharper, that lean, toned build she was really into.
Thalia’s eyes sparkled for a moment.
Darion replied, “Yes.”
Natasha snorted. “Quick to admit, huh? Honestly, your body and your face are the only things worth showing off now. Better keep them in shape.”
With that, she fell silent. ‘Getting paid for this is harder than it looks,’ she thought.
When they got to the Regal Hotel, Darion stuck close to Thalia, letting her guide him by the arm as they walked in. As soon as they stepped into the private room, they saw Sebastian and Ms. Perry were already waiting for them.
“Thalia,” Sebastian called out.
He stood up, his gentle, handsome face lit up with a smile. “You’re here.”
“Mr. Flynn,” Darion said.
Darion was the first to speak, reaching out to shake Sebastian’s hand. “Thanks for helping out again. My wife’s getting better really fast. Sorry to trouble you, but hey, what can I do? She just worries about me way too much.”
As soon as Darion said that, the whole room fell into an awkward silence.
Natasha thought to herself, ‘Wow, he’s really shameless.’
Thalia was speechless. ‘Is he marking his territory already? What’s that supposed to
mean?’
‘You’re here for a checkup, not an alpha showdown!’ she grumbled inwardly.
Sebastian gave a faint smile as he shook Darion’s hand, his expression gentle, but his words were anything but. “I hope you recover soon, Mr. Blackburn. Once you’re back on your feet, she won’t have to keep sticking around out of guilt. She doesn’t owe you anything.”
