Chapter 8 He Deserves It

Chapter 8 He Deserves It

Darion took Thalia’s hand again.

His sharp, dark eyes lingered on her face before he turned to Trenton. “Trenton, Thalia’s upset because of me. Let me handle the rest.”

Trenton sat on the couch, looking displeased. “Keep spoiling her. She’s getting more unruly every day!”

Darion smiled gently. “She’s my wife. I should spoil her for a lifetime.”

Trenton placed the whip on the coffee table.

Shyla stepped forward, concerned. “Darion, how’s your back? Do you need ointment?”

Darion shook his head. “I’m fine. I already had someone drop off the gifts. Thalia and I are heading back now. Call me if you need anything.”

He held her hand firmly and walked toward the door.

But after a few steps, Thalia pulled her hand free.

She’d been whipped before. She knew that pain all too well.

She’d never forget that scorching pain, like her skin was being ripped open.

But Darion taking a couple of lashes for her didn’t earn him the right to touch her.

‘He’s the reason my life is in shambles. He totally deserved to get whipped. Thalia thought.

Even though she hated it, Thalia had no choice but to get into Darion’s car.

As Darion leaned over to buckle her seatbelt, Thalia suddenly asked, “Did you sleep with Miya?”

The warmth in Darion’s eyes vanished in an instant. “Come on, she’s my sister-in-law. Don’t be ridiculous.”

“You’ve heard the saying: fucking sisters-in-law is the best fun,” Thalia said, fluttering her lashes sarcastically.” Is she really that good?”

“Thalia!” Darion’s voice dropped, sounding annoyed. “Stop being unreasonable.”

Thalia scoffed, “If you never slept with her, I truly can’t understand why you’re so fixated on her.”

She jerked her hand away, wiping it roughly on her clothes as if she’d touched something filthy.

She spat, “Darion, you’re disgusting.”

“Disgusting?” Darion’s eyes flickered with anger, then he suddenly let out a low, mocking laugh.

He gripped her chin tightly, his voice dropping to a dark, teasing murmur. “Thalia, is this attitude because you’ re unsatisfied? Let me put that fire out for you.”

As the words left his mouth, his lips pressed harshly against hers.

Thalia protested, her voice muffled.

She bit down hard on his lip, the sharp taste of blood spreading between them.
