Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 714

“Don’t kill me! Please—I’m too young, I don’t want to die…” Caroline’s face was bloodless as she begged, voice trembling with fear. “Whatever you want, I’ll pay. Just don’t kill me, I’m begging you!”

Tatum’s smile was all menace, his eyes locked on Amelia. “Begging won’t help you. If Ms. Sadinton doesn’t cooperate, I’ll have no choice but to cut your pretty little head off. Ms. Sadinton, she’s family, right? Are you really going to stand there and watch me kill her?”

Amelia’s grip tightened around her gun. She pressed her lips together, refusing to say a word. If she showed fear now, it was all over.

Tatum leaned in, his words colder. “If you run, Ms. Sadinton, I’ll hand her over to my men. They’ll have their fun, and then I’ll finish her myself.”

Caroline could barely stand, her legs shaking. Terror had her in its grip.

“No! Please don’t! Amelia, please, help me! Don’t leave me here with them!” Caroline sobbed, desperate.

Suddenly, a gunshot cracked through the chaos from somewhere in the trees, aimed straight at Tatum.

“Boss, look out!” one of his men shouted. He lunged, taking the bullet for Tatum.

Then smoke bombs flew in, filling the air with choking clouds. Everything turned to confusion and panic.

“Protect the boss!” voices shouted.

This was it—their chance. Someone on the inside was helping her escape.

Amelia didn’t hesitate. She slammed the release and dropped the lifeboat into the sea. Then she spun, swung her gun, and knocked Tara out cold.

“Caroline!” she shouted, grabbing Caroline’s attention. Without a second thought, she jumped down to the lifeboat.

Caroline watched her go, heart pounding. With a surge of adrenaline, she bit down hard on Tatum’s knife hand. He yelped in pain, and she threw herself into the water, kicking frantically toward Amelia.

Amelia reached out, hauled Caroline aboard, and started the engine. The lifeboat tore away from the chaos.

“Don’t let them get away!” Tatum roared, furious.

His men scrambled for their own boats and gave chase.

Caroline was drenched, teeth chattering. She yanked off her shoes and hurled them at the chasing boats, desperate to slow them down. “Amelia, faster! They’re right behind us! If they catch us, I’m dead!”

“Shut up!” Amelia snapped, her patience shot. “Can you shoot?”

Caroline gawked at her. “Are you kidding? Of course not!”

Amelia pulled her over to the controls. “Just steer. Hold it straight.”

With Caroline at the helm, Amelia turned and fired at the boats chasing them. It took an entire magazine just to take out one. Five, maybe six boats were still coming fast. Anxiety twisted in her gut.

Out of nowhere, another speedboat cut in from the right, smashing into the closest pursuer and flipping it.

The driver shouted back, “Amelia, keep going! I’ve got your back!”
