“Enough. Stop.” Laila cut her off directly, unwilling to listen any further to those mystical explanations. “Just state your purpose. Don’t waste both our time.”

At her words, Ruby’s expression turned slightly unpleasant.

Without Diana’s guidance, Laila had become increasingly unruly. She was now so disrespectful toward her elders.

If Diana were still alive, she would have made sure she properly disciplined her.

A trace of mockery flashed in Laila’s eyes, though her tone remained polite. “Then I’m sorry to disappoint you. I did not tell her to do anything.”

She gave a faint, cold laugh. “This is Lillian’s own decision. Instead of coming here and begging me, you should go back and think carefully about how wronged she must have been to even bring up breaking the mate bond at this moment.”
