Chapter 360 Their Mission
Chapter 360 Their Mission
Third-person POV:
The blueprint on the table was a structu map of that high-security prison.

They had kidnapped one of the craftsmen who helped build the prison years ago and forced him to recreate it from memory.
But the man had only been a laborer back then. He never possessed the origmal plans, so everything had to be pieced together bit by bit from recollection.
Right now, he was locked inside the back room. They planned to release him only after the rescue was over.
The lead wolf Alpha analyzed the situation calmly. “There’ll definitely be a heavy military presence inside the prison. We only have seven people. Charging headfirst would basically be suicide.”
His eyes swept across everyone present.
“So I’m asking all of you one thing. If you’re willing to go save him, raise your hand. If you’re not, then tomorrow, find your own chance to escape and head back to Town while Victor leaves the city. At least then you can make it home to your families.”
The man seated to the left frowned, his wolf eyes narrowing slightly. “Terry, what kind of bullshit are you talking about? Our Cottontail scout team has never abandoned our own. Back during the war, we endured whatever we had to for intelligence work-we hid, we suffered, we swallowed everything. But now the war is over, and Vagen has been reclaimed. If we’re going home, then we’re not leaving Willy behind here to be humiliated. We either go back together, or we die together.”
“That’s right!” another man growled. “The eight of us live together or die together.”
Terry’s eyes reddened.
Over the past years, they had hidden everywhere imaginable, disguising themselves as fishermen, beggars, and
Γ merchants while blending into every street and alley of the border city.
They endured scorching sun, storms, frost, and snow. He was no longer the high-spirited Terrence of the past.
Now he was simply “Terry.”
Just another worn-down drifter with a face carved by hardship.
The ones with him were Willy, Hayd, Flynn, Jeff and Matt brothers, along with the soldiers Kevin and Tyler.
From the day the Cottontail scout team was formed, there had been no distinction between generals and soldiers anymore.
Everyone stood equal. They shared only one mission-get the intelligence home.

Terry slammed his palm onto the table. A savage wolf-like fierceness burst from his eyes. “Good! We’ll move tomorrow night at eight
“Agreed!”
The following evening at 7:30 p.m., the bowl filled with cold water.

For all those years, they hadn’t touched coffee, nor had they dared drink even a single drop of alcohol.
Coffee was a luxury in the border city, far beyond what they could afford. Cheap liquor, on the other hand, was everywhere. But none of them dared touch it. Not even a little. They were terrified that if one of them got drunk and let something slip, every single one of them would be finished.
There had only been
time they ever bought alcohol.
That was the day they learned Kain and the five young generals had died.
They poured the liquor onto the ground in tribute to their marshal.
That night, all eight of them hid beneath their blankets and cried until dawn.
But they only allowed themselves that one night of grief.
Afterward, they wiped away their tears and continued living on the edge of a blade.
Because Vagen still hadn’t been reclaimed.
Later, when Vagen was finally retaken, Victor withdrew his forces back here and fortified himself inside the border city.
They could no longer send intelligence into Vagen, and crossing the border had become nearly impossible.
Back then, when transporting information, they could still sneak into supply caravans and quietly make their way to Simonne Town. But after the war ended, even that route disappeared.
Ever since Vagen’s liberation, they had constantly searched for ways to escape. They ran everywhere, scouting every possible route. Then, Willy slipped up and got captured.
After his arrest, he was undoubtedly tortured brutally. Yet he never revealed a single word. Otherwise, Ovila’s soldiers would have already come knocking at their door.
Willy’s spirit was iron-hard. He would rather die than betray them. Since he could endure it, the rest of them had nothing to fear either.
The seven men kicked off their straw sandals and bent down to pull on newly made leather boots.
They stripped off their ragged clothes and changed into black nightwears, which were stitched together by hand from scraps of black fabric they had gathered themselves.
