My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 131

Chapter 131

Dante sat slumped on the couch, Sofia’s lifeless body sprawled across his lap. Her blood soaked into his clothes, the metallic scent clinging to his skin. His tears fell freely, streaking down his face as he rocked her gently.

He had killed her.

The woman he loved. The only one he thought he could still call his, was gone by his own hand. The guilt gnawed through him, hollowing his chest.

Why couldn’t I stop? Why couldn’t I control myself?

Her voice still echoed in his skull, sharp and relentless, every cruel word stoking the fire of his rage until it consumed him. He had begged her to stop, pleaded for her to just be silent. But she hadn’t. And when he thought they might have been a family again… he had destroyed everything.

“I saved you,” he whispered, shaking her limp shoulders as if the words alone could pull her back. “I saved you only to kill you. How do I explain this to Ethan? What do I tell my son? Our son!”

His growl tore through the silence as he clutched her, desperate for her chest to rise again. But the stillness mocked him.

A knock rattled the door. Dante froze, his pulse spiking. Then came a voice, muffled but familiar.

“Dante, it’s me…”

Luke.

His friend. His brother-in-crime. The only one who had stood with him through every bloody deed. Luke had provided the men Dante used to break into the Blood Watch house…men who had died for this cause. Dante had called him after the shooting, his voice cracking, begging for help.

Dragging himself up, he laid Sofia down and staggered to the door. He opened it to find Luke standing there, expression tense.

Luke’s eyes darted past him and froze. His breath caught.

“What the hell happened?” he asked, his voice a sharp hiss as his gaze locked on Sofia’s bullet-riddled body. The gun lay on the floor like a curse.

Dante’s throat tightened. “I… I don’t know what came over me. We argued. I pulled the gun and-” his voice cracked, tears streaking anew. “I shot her. I called you right after. Luke, I don’t know what to do.”

Luke ran both hands through his hair, his chest rising and falling in sharp bursts. He had known how much Dante loved Sofia. He had seen the madness in it, the kind of devotion that could set the world ablaze. But this?

“You broke her out just to kill her?” His words cut, his voice thick with disbelief. “My men died trying to free her. The Blood Watch captured others. Do you know what happens if they talk? wasted resources, Dante. And now? We’re the most wanted men in Red Moon Pack!”

Dante lowered his head, his face twisted in despair.

“What do we do now?” he asked, his voice raw.

Luke’s jaw tightened. “We dump her body and run. Leave this pk for good”

“What?” Dante’s head snapped up, fury flashing in his eyes. “Ru I can’t leave My son Ethan. He needs me. I have to get him.”

Dante’s eyes burned with defiance through his pain. “What’s the plan?”

Luke met his gaze. “We wait until midnight. Then we flee Red Moon Pack.”

The words carved into Dante like a blade. His gaze drifted back to Sofia’s still form, his heart breaking all over again.

“I know you love her,” Luke said quietly, laying a hand on Dante shoulder. “But we have to leave her behind. We’ll place her where she can be found. By the time they do, we’ll be gone. When you’ve healed, you can come back for Ethan. But right now? You can’t stay.”

Dante said nothing. His eyes stayed fixed on Sofia’s face, drinking in every detail for the last time. Memories assaulted him, her laugh, the heat of her touch, the way she leaned on him when her world collapsed. She had been everything to him once, even when she chased Aiden because she wanted the Alpha’s son instead of a Beta’s. And yet Dante had always been there. Always loving her.

Tears burned down his cheeks as he bent and pressed one last ks to her cold forehead. A vow carved itself into his soul

This wasn’t the end.

He would leave, yes. But he would return, for Ethan.

Straightening, Dante clenched his fists, fire igniting in his gaze. He turned to Luke, who gave a small, firm nod.

The choice was made.
