My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 163

Chapter 163

“I… I don’t think it’s a good idea,” Tracy said, her voice trembling Her hands fidgeted on the table as beads of sweat gathered on her forehead.

“It’s too dangerous,” she whispered, her breath shaky. “I can’t go back there…”

Amelia reached across the table and gently took Tracy’s hands in hers, giving them a reassuring squeeze.

“Aiden’s right,” Amelia said softly, her eyes locking with Tracy’s. You could take us there. Maybe we’ll find something-a clue about my parents’ whereabouts, or who’s behind all of this. If it’s the same people who took you, then we might finally have a lead. Please, Tracy.”

Her voice cracked as she spoke. “I know you’re scared, but this is about my family. My mother…. she’s still sick. Please, help me.”

Tears slipped down Amelia’s cheeks as she spoke. Tracy looked a her, torn, her heart racing. Part of her wanted to refuse- she still woke up sweating from nightmares of that house, of what had been done to her. She had been locked up for months, tortured, violated, and broken. Going back there felt like walking into a nightmare she’d barely escaped from.

But Amelia’s tears… her voice… she couldn’t say no.

James stepped forward, his tone calm but firm. “You won’t go alone. I’ll be there, Alpha Aiden will be there, and we’ll have our best men with us. You’ll be protected, Tracy. I promise.”

Tracy looked at him, then at Amelia. Finally, after a long, heavy silence, she nodded slowly.

“Fine,” she breathed. “When are we leaving?”

Relief flooded Amelia’s face as she exhaled, realizing she’d been holding her breath the entire time.

“Tomorrow morning,” Aiden said firmly.

Tracy nodded again and gave Amelia a faint smile. “I’ll go rest now and prepare for tomorrow.”

She stood up quickly and walked out, James following behind her, leaving only Amelia and Aiden in the quiet dining room.

Amelia remained still, lost in thought. Her fingers twisted nervously in her lap as she prayed silently…please, let my family still be alive.

“Amelia…”

Her name rolled off Aiden’s tongue softly. She turned to him, and their eyes met. The air between them grew heavy charged.

“I promise I’ll find your family,” Aiden said quietly, stepping closer. “I’ll do everything in my power to bring them back alive.”

The sincerity in his tone caught her off guard. She swallowed hal, trying not to cry again. Her lips trembled as she forced a smile. “Thank you…” she whispered.

But as her gaze lingered on him, she noticed something off is yes looked slightly bloodshot, and his skin-normally bronzed-seemed paler than usual. His jaw was tight, his breathund

“Are you okay?” she asked, stepping forward and lifting her hando touch his arm

Before her fingers could reach him, Aiden flinched and took a step back.

Amelia froze. Her hand hung midair, her heart twisting. He stepped away from me?

Aiden’s eyes flickered with guilt. “I’m fine, Amelia,” he said, forcing a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “You should go home – to your son, to Damien. I’m sure they’re worried about you.”

His voice carried a bitterness he didn’t try to hide, and Amelia caught it instantly Jealousy Pain

She bit the inside of her cheek, holding back the urge to say something sharp. Instead, she gave him a tight smile and turned away, her chest burning.

She walked briskly out of the house, her heels clicking against the marble floor.

By the time she reached her car, anger was already swirling inside her. She slid into the driver’s seat gripping the steering wheel so tightly her knuckles whitened.

Why did he step away? Why would he pull back from me like that?

She blinked hard, trying to push down the sting in her chest

Why am I even angry? she thought bitterly.

“Isn’t that what you wanted?” her wolf murmured in her head

Aiden’s lips curled into a knowing smirk. “I know. That’s why I already have a plan.”

James frowned. “A plan?”

“Damien,” Aiden said simply.

James blinked. “What? Damien? You two hate each other. He’s not going to help you.”

Aiden’s smirk deepened. “I still hate him. But if it’s about Amelias safety, he won’t have a choice.”

James groaned, rubbing his forehead. “How do you even plan to talk to him? He won’t want to see you, let alone help you.”

“That’s where you come in,” Aiden said, crossing his arms.

“What?” James frowned.

“You’re the bridge between us. He called you earlier, didn’t he? About the wedding venue?”

James’ jaw dropped. “Oh, no. No, no, no. Don’t even-”

“You’re going to call him back,” Aiden interrupted, voice calm but firm. “Tell him you need his help. Something urgent. Just get him to show up.”

James groaned louder. “Aiden, this is a bad idea. A terrible one.”

Aiden’s smirk turned into a grin. “Relax, James. It’s easy as pie.”

James pinched the bridge of his nose and muttered under his breath, “You mean easy as pissy…”

Aiden chuckled quietly, walking past him toward his room.

But deep down, he wasn’t as calm as he looked. The plan was risky, but he didn’t care. He’d do whatever it took to protect Amelia-even if it meant working with the one man he couldn’t stand.
