My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 188

Chapter 188

It was almost evening. The sky outside the hospital window had softened into shades of gold and lavender, and Amelia sat beside her mother, spoon in hand, gently feeding her. Evenly locked frail…her once-vibrant glow now dimmed….but her eyes. shimmered with quiet warmth as they lingered on her daughter

She still couldn’t believe Amelia had survived. Every breath she watched her take felt like a miracle. The Moon Goddess had heard her prayers….her baby girl was alive.

“What happened after you left, Amelia?” Evenly’s voice came out low and tired, the kind that trembled with both curiosity and fear.

Amelia hesitated, her gaze dropping to the spoon before meeting her mother’s again. “I was attacked, Mom. By some men Sofia sent after me. But someone saved my life. The Moon Goddess gave me a second chance.”

Evenly’s brows furrowed, disbelief flickering in her tired eyes. “Sofia sent goons after you?” Her voice was soft, but there was no real surprise in it…only sorrow. Deep down, she had always known what Sofia was capable of. There was no limit to her cruelty.

“Yes, Mom.” Amelia’s tone darkened. “I also found out she killed Eva.”

The words hit like thunder. Evenly’s chest tightened painfully.

“And where is Sofia now?” Beta Greg’s voice cut through the silence. Amelia swallowed, her throat feeling suddenly heavy.

“She’s dead.”

The air in the room stilled. Evenly’s eyes widened, and Greg froze, his mouth parting in shock. Sofia-dead? It sounded impossible, yet in some twisted way, it felt right.

“I’m so sorry for everything you went through, Amelia,” Evenly whispered, her voice cracking. “I’m sorry for the pain you endured, honey.”

Amelia smiled faintly, brushing a strand of hair from her mother’s face. “Mom, you shouldn’t apologize. None of it was your fault. Sometimes… things happen to push us toward something new. It’s painful, but it’s part of growth.” Her voice softened. “If none of that had happened, I wouldn’t have met the woman who saved me and adopted me. I wouldn’t have met Damien. And I wouldn’t have become an Alpha.”

Evenly blinked, her breath hitching. Greg turned sharply, eyes wide. “Y-You’re an Alpha now?”

Amelia nodded proudly, a quiet confidence glinting in her eyes. Yes. My adoptive mother is an Alpha…she made me one. And my son is too.”

Evenly’s lips parted. “You… you have a son?” Her weary face lit up instantly, the first true spark of joy since her illness began.

“Yes,” Amelia said softly, smiling as her heart swelled. “His names Arthur.”

Evenly’s mind flashed back to that night long ago-Amelia standing in their doorway, trembling and in tears, clutching her stomach after learning she was pregnant with Aiden’s child. Herreath caught. That meant… the baby survived.

Her eyes filled with tears. My strong Amelia.

“I’ll bring him here soon,” Amelia said, her smile tender. “You’ll meet him. He’s such a sweet boy, my little prince. You’ll love him.”

Evenly wiped at her tears, her frail fingers shaking slightly. “I cant wait to meet him,” she whispered. “And the woman who saved your life…I want to meet her too. To thank her for watching over you.”

Amelia’s lips curved gently. “You can’t meet her yet. She’s in Velis.”

“Then maybe I can speak with her over the phone,” Evenly said with a hopeful smile.

“Of course, Mom.” Amelia’s smile brightened. “I’ll also introduce you to Damien. He went to get a few things you’ll all need.”

“Damien?” Evenly tilted her head. “Who’s that?”

Evenly smiled, shaking her head as tears gathered again. “She’s always been an Alpha, Greg Always. You have to tell her the truth…please. She deserves to know.”

Greg’s jaw tightened. He nodded silently and reached for the glass of water beside the bed when she began to cough. She took a sip, but the moment she leaned back, she felt something wet slip down the side of her face.

Her hand rose weakly to her car. Blood.

Greg’s eyes widened. “Evenly?”

Another warm trickle slid from her nose. Then her mouth Hergers trembled as she touched them, staring at the crimson staining her skin

“Evenly, are you okay?” Greg’s voice cracked as panic surged through him

She tried to answer, but her throat constricted, and suddenly blood began seeping from her eyes too, streaking her cheeks in thin, trembling lines. Her body shook violently, every vein tighting under her skin as her breathing turned ragged.

“Mom!” Gloria’s terrified scream cut through the room as she ran out to call a doctor.

Greg held Evenly tighter. “Evenly, stay with me! Please!”

But her body convulsed one last time-then went rigid. The light in her eyes dimmed.

Greg’s voice broke into a hoarse whisper. “No. Evenly.”

And the room fell silent.
