My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 202

Chapter 202

“I didn’t ask you to be worried about me. Just leave me alone, Danien,” she said, her voice low but sharp, trembling with exhaustion and suppressed emotion. She didn’t even look at hir-just turned away, her shoulders stiff, every word cutting like a blade.

Damien froze, disbelief flashing across his eyes.

“What the hell is wrong with you, Amelia?” he demanded, taking a step toward her. “You left us sick with worry, and now you come back acting cold toward me? What the fuck happened to you? Or-” his voice cracked, anger slipping through grief – because you spent the night with Aiden, now I suddenly mean nothing to you?”

Her head snapped toward him, eyes wide, lips parting in shock. Her heart skipped. How did he-?

“Shocked?” Damien’s voice broke, low and rough with pain. “Wondering how I knew? I fucking saw you, Cassia. I saw you getting out of his car this morning. And when I confronted him, he didn’t even deny it. He admitted you were with him all night while I was out here searching for you, while Arthur was crying for you, while your mother’s body lay cold…and you were with your ex-husband, doing God knows what.”

His chest heaved, anger and heartbreak twisting inside him.

“Do you even care about me? About Arthur?”

Her head snapped up, eyes blazing through the tears.

“Don’t you dare bring my son into this!” she shouted, her voice cracking. “Don’t you dare question my love for him, Damien! I love my son more than my own life…I would do anything for him!”

She took a shaky breath, her hands trembling at her sides. “You’re so busy thinking about me being with Aiden… Where were you when I needed you?” Her voice broke again. “Did you think wanted to end up with him? I didn’t. He found me… unconscious…by the roadside! He saved my life!”

“Cassia-” Damien began, but she cut him off with a furious shake of her head.

“He was there when you weren’t,” she choked, tears streaking down her face. “And as much as I hate to admit it, I’m alive because of him.”

Her words sliced through him like a knife. Damien’s breath hitched. His jaw clenched so tightly that his teeth ached. He bit his lower lip until the taste of blood filled his mouth, his eyes dark with guilt and pain.

“He comforted me,” she whispered, her voice softening but laced with torment. “He told me it wasn’t my fault-that I didn’t kill my mother. But I did, Damien.” Her voice broke, shattering to a sob. “I killed her.”

Damien’s heart stilled. “What do you mean?” he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. “Cassia… what do you mean you killed your mom?”

Her lips trembled, “She died from an overdose of the cure I gave her. Because I was too selfish. Too impatient to wait for the first vial to work, I gave her another.” A choked laugh escaped her full of agony. “And that second vial killed her.”

Damien blinked, speechless. The room seemed to tilt around hi

“Go on,” she whispered bitterly. “Tell me I should’ve listened. Te me you warned me that another dose would be too much. Tell me I was too arrogant, too blind to see it.” Her voice rose, trembling with fury and heartbreak. “Go on, Damien-judge me!”

He swallowed hard, his throat burning. “Cassia…” he stepped toward her slowly, his voice breaking. “Tin not here to judge you. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me

But when he reached out, she flinched back, shaking her head vilently.

“Just go,” she whispered, tears streaming down her face. “Please want to be alone.”

He hesitated, his eyes filled with regret, his hand still half-raised in the air between them. And then, defeated, he nodded once and turned toward the door.

Her heart clenched painfully as the sound of his footsteps faded,

When the door finally shut, she crumbled.

Her knees gave way, and she sank to the floor, her back pressed against the bed frame as she buried her face in her hands. Her sobs came out silent at first, then harder, shaking her whole body. Guilt tore through her like claws. How could she have said those things to him? How could she keep hurting the one man who’s loved her so completely?

Damien had always been her peace, her strength, and yet she kept pushing him away, throwing her grief at him like daggers.

Aiden pushed the door open and stepped in. Dr. Marvin, a man his sixties with silver hair and kind eyes, looked up from his paperwork in surprise.

“Alpha Aiden?” he said, standing immediately and extending a hand. “I wasn’t expecting you today”

“Dr. Marvin,” Aiden greeted, shaking his hand firmly before taking a seat as the doctor gestured.

“I’ve heard about all the remarkable work Dr. Cassia has done here,” Dr. Marvin said warmly. “Her results are extraordinary. The cure she’s developed has saved countless lives. It breaks my heart to hear about her mother’s passing”

Aiden managed a faint smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “Ye.. it’s been hard on her.”

The doctor sighed and leaned forward. “I’m sorry for your loss well. Now, tell me….what brings you here, Alpha?”

Aiden’s tone grew serious. “It’s about her mother. Evelyn. I heard reports that she died from an overdose of the cure… but I don’t believe that’s true. Something about it doesn’t add up.”

Dr. Marvin’s expression shifted, cautious. “I haven’t seen the patient’s body myself, so I can’t confirm anything.” he said slowly. “But if another doctor reported overdose, then-”

“With all due respect, Doctor,” Aiden interrupted, his voice low, rm, “Amelia doesn’t make dosage mistakes. I’ve seen her work. She measures every milligram twice over. Someone might have tampered with that vial-or with Evelyn’s treatment. Or it might be something else entirely. I just need to prove it.”

Dr. Marvin studied him silently for a moment, his brows furrowing as Aiden’s words hung heavy in the air.

Aiden’s gaze hardened with resolve.

He wasn’t going to let Amelia carry that guilt.

He would find the truth-no matter what it cost.
