My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 207

Chapter 207

Aiden turned, watching Amelia walk away abruptly. He could tell from her body language that she was pissed off about something and honestly, he had no idea what it was. He sighed, running a hand through his hair, wondering what she had wanted to tell him before storming off.

When he turned back, Racheal was staring at him, waiting patiently so they could head to the car.

“Come on, let’s go,” he said quietly.

They walked together toward the car. Aiden opened the door for her like a gentleman. She smiled faintly, murmuring a small thank you before slipping inside. He closed the door gently and rounded to his side.

He started the engine but didn’t drive off. His hands rested on the steering wheel while his mind drifted back to Amelia. No matter how hard he tried, she kept invading his thoughts. It was maddening.

He could feel Racheal’s eyes on him. She had noticed his tension. He switched off the ignition and yanked out the key.

“I’m sorry,” he muttered. “I need to take care of something real quick. I’ll be back.”

Racheal offered him a small, understanding smile. “Go on,” she said softly.

Aiden nodded, already half out of the car. Racheal watched as he strode back toward the hospital, her heart sinking. She leaned back against the seat, eyes clouding with unspoken thoughts and a deep sigh escaping her lips.

Meanwhile, Amelia and Damien had just entered the hospital lobby when a frantic woman rushed toward Damien.

“Doctor Damien, right?” she called.

He paused, frowning slightly. “Yes, ma’am. How can I help you?”

“Please-you’re the one who attended to my husband last week. He’s having a panic attack again. I didn’t know who else to call!” the woman said breathlessly.

Damien nodded immediately. “Take me to him.”

He turned to Amelia, giving her a silent look that said I’ll be right back. She understood and simply nodded before watching him leave. Then she sighed, her shoulders slumping as she continued toward her office.

Inside, she dropped her bag on the table and ran a shaky hand through her hair. The moment she was alone, the memories of her mother crashed into her. Tears welled in her eyes.

She wasn’t ready to see her mother’s body…not yet. Her chest ached just thinking about it. Her mother had been her world, the only person who stood by her when everyone else turned their backs.

She quickly wiped her tears when the door creaked open thinking it was Damien but she heard a familiar voice whispered her name.

“Amelia.”

Her heart stuttered. She turned around and froze.

Aiden stood there, his eyes locked on hers as he closed the door Schind him. He took a slow step forward, his presence filling the room. The air shifted…charged, heavy, and intimate

Her wolf stirred restlessly inside her, responding to her mate’s nearness.

“What are you doing here?” she asked, forcing her voice to remain steady.

“I came to talk to you,” Aiden said, his gaze never wavering.

She frowned. The memory of him introducing Racheal earlier sill burned in her chest like acid.

“Talk about what exactly?” she snapped. “Shouldn’t you be with your bride-to-be? You shouldn’t keep her waiting.”

She moved toward the door, but Aiden was faster. He stepped forward, his long legs closing the distance in two strides. His hand came down over the door, trapping her there.

“You know what?” she said bitterly, spinning to face him. “Yes, I’m angry! Because everything’s a damn mess, Aiden! My mother’s gone, and you-” her voice cracked, “you’re already planning a future with someone else!”

Aiden’s expression softened. He took a slow, hesitant step toward her. The air between them shifted again…heavy with longing, grief, and something dangerous.

“You think Racheal means something to me?” he asked quietly.

She blinked, confused by the softness in his tone.

He took another step, his voice dropping lower, rougher. “She’s othing like you, Amelia. No one ever will be.”

Before she could move, he reached out and gently lifted her chi forcing her to look at him. His thumb brushed her jaw as his eyes searched hers.

“If you want, I’ll send her away,” he whispered. “I’ll call off everything…every wedding plan, every promise. Just say the word,

Amelia. Tell me not to marry her, and I won’t.”

His eyes pleaded with hers, his heart hammering so loud it felt like the only sound in the room.

Amelia’s lips parted, trembling as she tried to find her voice…but before she could speak, the door burst open.

“Amelia?”

It was Damien.

Aiden turned sharply, jaw tightening, while Amelia froze….her heart lurching violently in her chest.

To be continued…
