My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart (Oriana) novel Chapter 100

**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**
**Chapter 100: Healing Hearts**

“Mr. Harris,” Oriana spoke softly, her voice steady yet gentle as she turned her gaze toward the frail, elderly woman sitting before them. “Since you’ve entrusted me with the consultations, I ask that you allow me to handle the patient’s care.”

The old woman, her eyes clouded with a mix of hope and resignation, nodded slightly. “Ma’am, you mentioned that you’re not looking for a long life, but rather a comfortable existence for your remaining days, is that correct?”

“Yes! The doctors at the hospital told me I have at most six months left to live. But to spend those months lying in a hospital bed, hooked up to IVs and undergoing chemotherapy—that’s not living. I would much prefer to enjoy just one month where I can eat well and sleep soundly. I would find peace in that.” A wistful expression crossed her face, as if she were recalling a time when life was filled with simple joys she hadn’t experienced in ages.

Oriana’s heart ached for the woman. “Alright, I can prescribe you some traditional medicine. This should help alleviate the pain you’re experiencing. If it becomes too much to bear, please come back to me, and I’ll adjust the dosage. I’ll also provide you with some calming and sedative medication to ensure you can sleep peacefully, without waking up in the middle of the night due to discomfort.”

“Good! Just being able to eat and sleep properly is enough for me. You’re wonderful, young lady. Thank you!” The old woman’s gratitude radiated from her, filling the room with warmth.

“You’re welcome. My goal is for you to feel more comfortable.” Oriana offered a reassuring smile, but she refrained from saying more. With a focused demeanor, she bent her head and began writing out the prescription, her pen gliding smoothly across the paper.

Meanwhile, William stood nearby, his brow furrowed deeply in thought. As soon as Oriana completed the prescription, he snatched it from her hands with a swift motion. His eyes darted over the details, and after a moment, his expression turned inscrutable.

“Mr. Harris, my prescription is sound. Please hand it over to her,” Oriana urged, her voice firm yet respectful.

William shot her an incredulous glare, then retrieved a business card from his pocket, thrusting it toward the old woman along with the prescription. “I’m her teacher. If you encounter any issues, reach out to me directly. I’ll handle any complications,” he grumbled, his tone tinged with irritation.

The old woman adjusted her reading glasses, her eyes widening in disbelief. “You’re Professor William Harris? The leading expert in oncology? You…” Before she could finish her sentence, William raised his hand to silence her.

“Her prescription represents my professional opinion. Now, please go and get your medicine,” he instructed curtly.

Despite his apparent displeasure, it was clear that William had acknowledged Oriana’s prescription.

“Wonderful! Thank you both!” The old woman beamed with gratitude, clutching the papers tightly as she exited, her heart evidently lighter.

As soon as she left, William turned his attention to Oriana, pointing a finger accusingly at her nose. “You! You don’t even bother to listen to me! Do you have any respect for me as your teacher?!”

“I do take your teachings to heart. But I’m also an individual with my own thoughts and feelings. I have the right to make my own decisions,” Oriana shot back, her voice unwavering, though a hint of redness crept into her cheeks.

“The medical profession is about healing and saving lives. Just because it’s what the textbooks say, or what the instructors dictate, or how this illness is typically treated—must we always adhere to that rigidly?” she continued, her passion igniting.

Throughout the afternoon, Oriana diligently diagnosed a total of fifteen patients, each encounter reinforcing her passion for her work.

William remained mostly silent, only instructing her to pack her belongings for the training that would commence the following day.

She had passed!

Returning to the university, Oriana couldn’t contain her excitement as she shared her good news with Lily.

Lily nearly leaped from her seat, her face glowing with joy. “Yay! Oriana, we have to celebrate tonight! This is a momentous occasion, you’ve successfully joined the MDT!” Her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. “I knew you could do it! I pulled some strings with my brother to reserve a booth at Refe—usually, you’d have to wait months for that! Let’s indulge in a grand feast tonight!”

Oriana felt a wave of warmth wash over her, unable to refuse her friend’s infectious excitement. “Okay, sure. Let’s do it!”

Meanwhile, under the guidance of Luna, Grant and Oscar finalized the contract, officially becoming part of the ‘Mountain River Planet’ model project.

Bramwell was also present for the signing. After spending some time in Jindiwood and witnessing Grant overcome a significant hurdle in the new direction, it was now time for him to return.
