After seeing the two elders off, Oriana and Micah got into the car and followed them home.
On the drive, Oriana noticed the corners of Micah’s mouth lifted in a quiet smile. He seemed in a good mood.
An impulse struck her. Silently, she raised the divider.
Once their eyes were shielded from the front seat, she tilted her head and pressed her lips to his, her cheeks flushing pink.
Micah’s eyes darkened. He sensed her pulling away and preemptively wrapped an arm around her waist, drawing her closer, deepening the kiss.
Oriana’s face burned, glowing even more under the shifting lights.
Desire flickered more intensely in Micah’s gaze.
She relaxed into him, lost in the kiss. She had grown used to savoring his touch.
But suddenly, something firm pressed against her, snapping her fully awake-
Oriana’s cheeks burned brighter.
“Micah, we just started—”
A low, muffled groan escaped his throat.
God, the moment she’d accidentally touched him, the sensation had been explosive.
It nearly drove him crazy.
His voice was rough, restrained with effort. “Sorry, I’ll try to control myself next time.”
Oriana’s eyes widened. “You can control this?”
She quickly covered her mouth, mortified.
Micah froze for a moment.

The car fell into awkward silence. Oriana gave him space, sliding slightly to the side.

She quietly muted her phone and started searching for professional information on a social
app.
The more Oriana read, the more anxious she felt for Micah.
As a doctor, she knew little about reproductive health.
Watching video after video, each expert warning that long–term suppression could harm the body, her concern grew.
She was so focused that she didn’t notice Micah watching her.
Finally recovering some composure, he saw her engrossed in the videos and didn’t interrupt.
The cabin was dark. Oriana dimmed her screen, but a few words were still visible to him.
She was willing to understand him, and he felt a rush of happiness.
Especially because, despite her shyness, she wanted to learn more about his physical needs. Micah felt deeply satisfied.
Just as he was quietly rejoicing, Oriana said, “Micah, I think we can’t keep going like this.”
His heart stirred. He instinctively leaned closer, letting his nose catch her scent.
“Hm? Then what do you suggest?”
Oriana closed her phone and pushed him back, speaking earnestly. “For your health, we need to reduce kisses and cuddles. That way, it won’t be so easy to overstimulate your body.”
Oriana, expecting more delightful moments, felt as if the sky had fallen.
He grabbed her wrist, gritting his teeth. “I’m not afraid of stimulation!”
“But won’t it cause harm if we hold back?”
“I’m fine!”
This time, before she could argue, Micah proved with his body that no matter the stimulation, he could still stand strong!
Harm?

In Meradin, Grant, wearing sunglasses and a mask, had just landed in the morning when his domestic factory sent word that there was a problem with a supplier.
He rushed to handle overseas work while contacting the domestic supplier to fix the issue, working tirelessly until 3 a.m., finally returning to the hotel exhausted.
As soon as he entered the suite, Alaric came over, his expression tense. “Grant, it’s bad. Yael from Jindiwood University called–she says they won’t cooperate on the SmartMed Project. Even Phoenix and Forrest have turned, saying they won’t participate in the Jindiwood collaboration!”
Grant removed his sunglasses, revealing eyes ringed with bruises and bloodshot veins.
“Damn it, we had everything settled last night. Why did they change course?”
“I don’t know. I was still trying to get them on board,” Alaric replied.
“What about Oscar? I had him monitor the domestic situation. He’s been MIA all day.”
Speaking of Oscar, Alaric’s expression worsened. “Grant, I only got through to him in the evening. After leaving the restaurant last night, Oscar and Arthur were both beaten by thugs. They’re in the hospital now–mild concussions, but they’ll need bed rest for a while.”
Grant’s pupils constricted.
The muscles along his jaw tensed, and he spat the name with raw fury. “Micah!
“He’s behind this!
“The supplier, Jindiwood University backing out, and those Meradin foreigners are causing chaos–he’s connected to all of it!”
Alaric, knowing what had happened to Grant the previous night, paled. “Damn, who does he think he is, able to control everything?”
Grant’s face darkened. “It’s nothing more than family connections and pulling strings.”
