Chapter 251 Gossiping
Chapter 251 Gossiping
Nyla raised her eyebrows and quickly walked to find Oriana, but unexpectedly saw two unfamiliar old men arguing over Oriana.
She stopped and didn’t move forward.
Luna covered her mouth in surprise, “Who are they? They seem very close to Oriana…”
Nyla frowned and abruptly turned her head, staring at Luna with an unfriendly gaze, “You’re from Jindiwood University, can’t you speak properly? Are you trying to spread rumors on purpose?”
“Nyla, you’ve misunderstood me. I was just surprised. After all, those two look older than my dad. One is rushing to open the car door for Oriana, and the other is trying to take her bag. In today’s world, even if I don’t say anything, others will think twice when they see it.”
Luna’s face showed a sense of injustice, but out of Nyla’s sight, her eyes were darting around, already forming some thoughts.
Hearing this, Nyla’s eyebrows furrowed even more, but she ultimately said nothing and stepped into the elevator with her high heels.
Oriana and the others took the elevator to the floor where the MDT clinic was located.
She was leading Bryan and others to William’s office when she gradually noticed Bryan and Randolph pulling at something behind her.
“We’re almost there, think of a solution quickly!”
“You just said you could surprise them, you go.”
“But…”
Zachary followed behind them, shaking his head repeatedly.
Stopping, Oriana turned around and looked at them in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
The two immediately stopped arguing and smiled at her, “Nothing, nothing.”
Just as they finished, Randolph seemed to think of something and started acting evasively.
“Speaking of which, I’ve never seen you in a white coat before. You must look like an angel. Where’s your office? Why don’t you go change first?”

Oriana raised her eyebrows and replied, “I’m not on duty today, so it’s not appropriate to wear a uniform.”
“Oh, right–1 completely overlooked that!”
Bryan shot Randolph a look of disdain before turning back to Oriana with a forced smile. “Are you thirsty, Oriana? How about we grab something to drink?”
Even if Oriana wasn’t the most perceptive person in the world, she could tell by now that the two were obviously trying to get rid of her.
What on earth were they up to?
Before she could puzzle it out, the elevator door at the annex building opened with a soft ding, and a familiar figure stepped out.
The woman hesitated for half a second when she saw Oriana. Her eyes swept over Oriana and then over the fidgeting Bryan and Randolph before she spoke, her tone cool and commanding.
“Oriana, come here. I have something to say to you.”
Arms crossed, Nyla stood as poised and imperious as ever, chin tilted slightly as she looked down from her self–assured height.
Before Oriana could even respond, Bryan and Randolph practically seized the opportunity. They waved their hands in relief, talking over each other. “It must be important! Go ahead, talk to her–we’ll just, uh, take a little walk.”
Oriana blinked at their guilty, overly enthusiastic faces and sighed helplessly.
“Alright,” she said.
She turned toward Nyla, who gave a small, sharp nod and pivoted on her heel, leading the way toward a nearby emergency exit.
Oriana’s eyes flickered with curiosity, but she followed.
The heavy automatic door swung shut behind them with a thud.
Nyla, still in her high heels, cast a quick glance up and down the stairwell, then leaned one elbow casually on the railing.
From there, she could easily see if anyone was approaching from above or below.

“Alright, Oriana said quietly, “what’s this about?”

Nyla turned, and the look she gave Oriana was sharp, almost scolding. Her brows knitted together, irritation creasing her otherwise polished face.
“I thought you had more sense,” she said, her voice low but biting. “But you’re just as naïve as ever. Do you have any idea how many people are watching you in this hospital? Could you try to be a little more discreet?”
Oriana frowned, taken aback.
What was she even talking about?
Before she could ask, Nyla pressed on, her tone filled with exasperation.
“You’re a married woman, Oriana. And you’re walking around with two men old enough to be your father, laughing and letting them dote on you like that. You really believe no one’s gossiping behind your back? People are just waiting for a reason to tear you down.”
Nyla’s expression shifted, tangled somewhere between disgust and reluctant concern. Her voice dropped to a mutter, as though she couldn’t decide whether she was admonishing Oriana or sincerely advising her to be more careful.
