Oriana could already imagine how Micah would react if he ever heard about the incident. She quickly warned, “Zara, don’t tell him. Whether it moves him or not doesn’t matter–he’ll just worry.”
She knew him well. Micah could get anxious over the smallest things.
Zara grinned. “Oh, hitting me with PDA already?”
Oriana laughed and reached out to gently pinch her friend’s cheek. “Let’s have some real dessert. I owe you ice cream for getting hurt today–it’s on me.”
“Oriana, you still care about me,” Zara teased, eyes twinkling. “Such tenderness over a tiny scratch… how could I possibly let you go home alone tonight?”
“Then I’ll just go back to the hotel with you,” Oriana said, humoring her.
Zara immediately straightened, her tone mock–serious. “You said it yourself! After dinner with Micah, you’re coming back to the hotel with me–no backing out.”
Realizing she’d walked right into Zara’s playful trap, Oriana could only smile helplessly. “Alright, alright. Let’s go, Zara.”

Kai and Willow hurried out of the mall in disarray, both on edge, glancing over their shoulders as if the security guards might actually come after them.
When they climbed into the van, Kai’s assistant, startled by their disheveled appearance, turned around quickly. “Please tell me the paparazzi didn’t see you two?”
Kai ripped off his mask and sunglasses, his face dark with fury. “Just drive.”
“Y–yes, sir,” the assistant stammered, starting the engine at once.
In the front seat, Willow sat rigid, clutching her seatbelt. She didn’t dare look back. Her voice trembled slightly as she said, “Kai…”
Before Willow could say another word, Kai suddenly snapped. “Can’t you understand what I’m saying?”
Tears welled up in Willow’s eyes. She sniffled, her voice trembling. “I’m sorry… I just wanted to help Luna get the gift she liked.”

“I’ll buy it myself,” Kai said coldly, his expression dark and unyielding. “And listen carefully- no one is to hear a single word about what happened today. Not anyone.”
Willow nodded quickly, biting her lip.

“Luna, that Oriana is too much! She deliberately bought the last two of that accessory, then acted all high and mighty like she was getting a matching set with her husband! Isn’t her husband a billionaire? He drops millions without blinking–doesn’t a cheap little trinket like that just drag down his status?”
Mountain River Planet’s project studio.
After dropping Willow off at the building entrance, Kai’s car pulled away without another word.
Willow hurried upstairs to find Luna, who had been practically glued to Grant’s side since the start of the holiday. The moment she saw her,
low poured out the entire story, her voice
thick with outrage.
Luna was sitting beside Grant, insisting he eat the lunch he’d skipped earlier. But when Willow’s complaint reached the part about Oriana and Micah, Grant’s hand froze. His spoon clattered into the bowl with a sharp clang, sending soup splashing across the table.
“Grant!” Luna gasped, her heart tightening. She quickly grabbed a handful of tissues and tried to wipe him clean.
But Grant sat motionless, a storm brewing in his eyes. It felt as though a heavy weight was pressing down on his chest, squeezing the breath from his lungs.
Oriana, how could you treat me like that?
He had gone all the way to Seabar for her–begged her to come back, to see the memories he’d painstakingly and expensively recovered for her sake. And what had she done in return?
She had ignored his efforts, his desperate attempts to hold onto her. Worse–she had publicly humiliated Willow and Kai… just to buy a matching bracelet for Micah.
And she’d even resorted to violence. They had known and loved each other for many years. Through all that time, she had always been gentle–understanding, patient, never showing even a trace of defiance.
But now… after leaving him for Micah, she had changed.

A wave of fury surged through Grant. Before he could stop himself, he shoved Luna aside- roughly, instinctively, his movements losing control.
“It’s fine,” he said curtly, his voice strained. “There are spare suits in the rest room.”
Luna froze, her hand suspended in midair. For a moment, awkwardness tightened her smile; a glint of coldness flashed behind her eyes, gone as quickly as it appeared.
Still, with Willow watching, she had no choice but to maintain the illusion of affection. Her tone softened, light and pleasant. “That’s alright. Thankfully the soup wasn’t too hot, or someone might have gotten hurt.”
She pretended not to notice that Grant’s outburst had been triggered by the mention of Oriana. Turning toward Willow, she offered a graceful smile. “A gentleman doesn’t take what another desires. Since Oriana wanted that set as a matching gift, we shouldn’t make things difficult for her. I’ll call Kai later to calm him down.”
Willow’s eyes widened in alarm. “Kaibby told me not to say anything, Luna…”
you,
Luna’s expression remained composed, her smile reassuring. “Don’t worry. I won’t say anything I shouldn’t.” Her voice softened with a hint of gratitude. “Actually, I should thank Willow. I’ve been busy accompanying Grant to several meetings lately, and Kai rarely comes to Jindiwood. I feel bad for neglecting him–but I’m relieved knowing you’re there to keep him company.”
Willow’s face lit up with shy delight. “Hehe, it’s only because you’re so kind, Luna. Otherwise, I’d never get the chance to spend time shopping with Kaibby.”
“I’m truly glad Kai has such a loyal friend like you,” Luna said gently.
“Ah, Luna, you’re making me blush! I don’t know how to repay your kindness–but I promise, I’ll find a way next time. Oriana’s lucky to have someone as understanding as you. If it weren’t for your patience, things would’ve turned ugly today.”
“There’s no need to be so formal,” Luna replied, her smile sweet but unreadable. “We’re good friends, aren’t we?”
