Kenny rubbed his stomach. For no reason, he felt full, as if he had been fed up by their affection.

He shook his head and hurried after them.

“Grandfather.”

Noah’s temples had been throbbing in frustration. When he heard Oriana’s voice, he pushed through the crowd and stood up in delight, a broad grin spreading across his face. “Finally, you’re here!”

Smiling, he turned to introduce Oriana to the stunned room, proud and full of joy. “This is my granddaughter–in–law, Oriana.”

Noah shot a sharp look at Micah that obviously said he was displeased, silently blaming him for not saving the day sooner.
