Micah patted her shoulder lightly. “He’s hiding something. If you’re curious, I’ll have Kieran look into it later.”
Oriana chuckled. “So you’re selling out your own cousin now?”
Micah arched an eyebrow with a slow, teasing smirk. “And what’s more important–my cousin, or my wife?”
She pretended to think seriously about it, then laughed. “Hmm… I guess you win.”
Micah’s hand slid to the back of her neck, gently pressing their foreheads together. “Exactly.”
After the playful exchange, Oriana focused on sending more greetings, receiving plenty of messages in
return.
When midnight finally struck, fireworks and firecrackers erupted all across the country.
Micah and Oriana stood beside Noah to offer their blessings. The scene of the young couple standing side by side made Noah’s eyes fill with tears.
He had waited years to witness this moment.
If only his late wife, eldest son, and daughter–in–law were still here–how complete the picture would be.
Noah wiped the corners of his eyes and smiled broadly, instructing the butler to light the fireworks he had prepared for Oriana. The younger ones rushed outside eagerly.
The Caldwells had never celebrated so lively. For nearly two hours fireworks blossomed in the night without pause.
Oriana waved a sparkler joyfully, her face illuminated by the golden light. When she was finally satisfied, she followed Micah back to their room.
They lay side by side under the quilt, watching the glow of fireworks reflected through the window, slowly drifting off to sleep.
On the morning of New Year’s Day, the temperature had dropped noticeably, and thick clouds loomed overhead, hinting at snow.
A Range Rover Defender passed through layers of gated security and came to a stop before Villa No. 10 in the exclusive Jindiwood Garden district.
Grant stepped out of the driver’s seat, his sharp gaze scanning the quiet luxury of the neighborhood. Ambition flickered beneath his dark brows.

“Grant!”
Luna hopped out from the passenger side, gliding toward him like a butterfly,
Grant let her take his arm but couldn’t tear his eyes away from the grand villa ahead. Luna, you’ve been so secretive all morning. Who exactly are we here to meet?”
“Grant, do you remember asking me how I first got acquainted with Mr. Boone?”
Her voice was shy but brimming with pride. “It was all thanks to someone inside this house. He’s done a lot for me in the past. I wanted to bring you to pay him a visit to express my gratitude. Besides, now that the SmartMed Project is progressing so well, I’m sure he’ll be impressed with you.”
The admiration in her eyes inflated Grant’s ego immediately.
Especially after she mentioned that this mysterious “benefactor” had been the one to introduce her to Soren–the same connection that had allowed Grant to secure two major contracts, SmartMed and Smart Drive, almost effortlessly.
If that man could casually give instructions to someone like Soren…
Grant’s pulse quickened. He tightened his grip on Luna’s hand. “Luna, thank you. You’re always thinking ahead for me.”
Her smile was radiant. “Why thank me? What’s mine is yours. Come on, let’s go.”
“Of course.”
They walked hand in hand toward the front yard.
The property manager had already notified the household of their arrival. From the kitchen window, one of the housemaids caught sight of them and hurried out to greet them.
She recognized Luna–one of the few young women who had visited before–and smiled politely. “Greetings, Ms. Sterling.”
Grant’s gaze flicked toward Luna, curiosity glinting in his eyes at the maid’s familiar tone.
Luna, calm and composed, smiled back at her and handed her a gift
“Happy festival,” she said politely.
The maid waved her hands quickly. “Thank you, miss, but I can’t accept it. Mr. Stone has strict rules about
that.”
After all, Xander valued discipline above all else,
Realizing it would be inappropriate to insist, Luna tucked the gift away again. “Is Mr. Stone feeling better these days?”
“Much better,” the maid said with a smile. “He just got back from the celebration early this morning and
