Chapter 303 Behind–the–Scenes Manipulation
“Luna, this…”
He tried to find a place to start fixing it, his mind racing in circles, but came up empty.

Luna’s draft was beyond repair. It was full of holes, made no logical sense, and even had sections that were just clunky, direct translations of other experts‘ ideas.
Leo’s temple was throbbing.
Seeing his expression, Luna felt utterly mortified.
She’d been spending all her time lately clinging to Grant, trying every trick in the book to win back his affection. She hadn’t had the energy or will to work on this stupid paper.
She never planned to do it herself anyway.
Putting on a sweet smile, she leaned closer to him. “Leo,” she said, her voice dripping with a pleading charm, “It’s my first time writing such an important paper, I was just so nervous! Could you please help me? Just fix it up a little…”
She batted her eyelashes, playing the damsel in distress. “I know I’m asking a lot, but Mr. Flint’s reputation is on the line here. I can’t afford to lose to the others. He’d be so mad…”
Leo was furious, but he bit his tongue.
Finally, he spat out the titles of a dozen books. “Go find these. Your arguments are all wrong.”
“Okay, on it!”
Luna hurried off to find the books.
Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice. She quickly ducked behind a nearby bookshelf.
“Oriana, what books are you looking for? We can help!”
“Yeah, Oriana, the two of us can help you find them. It’ll be faster.”
“Alright, here’s the list.”
“Mhmm.”
Watching the three of them walk out of the carrel and into the stacks, disappearing into the

distance, a sly glint flashed in Luna’s eyes.
She emerged from her hiding spot and slipped into their carrel.
On the desk, Oriana’s laptop was wide open, her draft completely visible.

Luna’s thesis topic, assigned by Cormac, focused on stem cell regeneration technology–a hot topic in the medical field worldwide.
She never expected Oriana to have chosen the same thing.
A calculated look crossed Luna’s eyes. She glanced around–no one was watching. She quickly snapped a few pictures of Oriana’s paper, used an AI app to convert them directly into text, saved the file, renamed it, and sent it to Cormac.
Then, she slipped away without a trace.
“You took so long.”
Leo had spent the time meticulously going through Luna’s disastrous draft from start to finish. He’d been waiting a while when she finally returned.
But her hands were empty.
Leo took a deep, steadying breath. “Did you…”
“Leo!”
Luna sat down with a bright smile, showing him a message on her phone from Cormac. “I actually sent Mr. Flint a different version of the draft first, and he approved it! There’s just this part left that needs some polishing and citations. Maybe you could help me with this version instead?”
Leo frowned slightly. “Send it to me.”
“Okay.”
Luna forwarded the document. Leo opened it, and within moments, the frown of frustration smoothed from his brow, replaced by a look of genuine appreciation.
“This is excellent. There are a few angles in here I hadn’t even considered!”
But then…
“Did you write this yourself? How is the gap between this and the other version so huge?”

It looked like the work of two completely different minds. They couldn’t even be compared.
There was no contest.
Not to boast, but Leo even felt this draft could compete with his own for the top spot.
Luna’s smile almost cracked.
Is the gap between Oriana and me really that obvious? Is Leo blind?
She forced a light laugh. “Haha, Mr. Flint probably tweaked it for me. You know how much he cares about this review.”
That explanation made sense. Such skill surely meant Cormac had a hand in it.
Convinced, Leo nodded. “Alright. This version is almost complete; it just needs some specific data. It’s the same book list I gave you before. Go find them for me, and I’ll help you finish up.”
“Great, thanks, Leo!”
