The noisy chatter in the locker room instantly died down. The previously laughing interns stifled their amusement, exchanging uneasy looks.

Her feigned, weak apology instantly painted Oriana as the petty, jealous one.

Oriana let out a low, meaningful chuckle.

She lifted her eyes, bright and clear, and fixed Luna with a sharp, insincere smile, the sharpness in her gaze no longer hidden.

“You’re right. The results aren’t out, yet someone’s already celebrating prematurely. If they end up losing face later, it won’t be me. Why would I be upset?”

She took a deep breath, calming herself before turning back to the awkward–looking group.

Seeing her appear indifferent, the others relaxed and laughed again, “She’s nowhere near as easygoing as you, Luna!”

“Exactly. Probably a difference in background. Luna is proper Seabar high society, with plenty of family backing. Someone like Oriana, an ordinary person who finally gets a good opportunity, has to cling to it for dear life and climb up. Of course she has to be serious about everything.”

Hearing this, Luna nearly let out a scornful laugh.
