His almost mournful tone only made Oriana want to laugh in disbelief.

Who wanted to be the eternally selfless saint? Did they think she had no spine, no will of her
own?
When she’d been good to them, they’d taken it for granted, even betrayed her behind her back and stolen what was rightfully hers. Now that she refused to play along, suddenly she was the problem!
She wasn’t wrong. Grant and Luna deserved each other–both utterly shameless.
Too exasperated for words, Oriana simply shook her head with a bitter smile.
Micah, however, gently took the phone from her hand. His voice, clear and resonant, cut through the tension.
“She hasn’t changed at all. She is still the same Oriana. You simply lost the right to have her in your life.”
Luna gasped on the other end. “You… you’re Oriana’s husband?”
Grant’s anger flared. Micah’s words were a direct challenge. “How dare

you—”
Micah had no interest in prolonging the pointless drama. He ended the call.
Furious, Grant hurled the phone against the wall, shattering it into pieces.
Luna cried out–it was her phone!
She hadn’t expected Oriana’s husband to be listening. And his voice… it was clearer than she remembered from their brief, past encounters.
She’d always pictured him as a mediocre, arrogant man living off family wealth, probably older too.
But that voice… so distinct, magnetic, almost hypnotic in its depth…
A doubt crept into her mind. Was Oriana’s husband really the worthless man she’d imagined?
Oblivious to her thoughts, Grant paced like a caged animal, his rage palpable.
“He must be loving this! Does he think I’ll just roll over and accept defeat?”

Chapter 335 Grant’s Fascination
:
Luna looked up, startled by the venom in his bloodshot eyes.
“Grant…” she ventured cautiously, “you know Oriana’s husband?”

“Him? That spineless parasite who hides behind his family name? He’s beneath my Grant spat with contempt.
notice!”
So, he did know him. Reassured by Grant’s dismissive confidence, Luna relaxed.
She gazed adoringly at the man beside her. Even in anger, he carried himself with a driven intensity she found compelling. Compared to some spoiled heir, a self–made man like Grant, who built his empire from scratch, was far more impressive and worthy of her ambitions.
So her husband has a nice voice and might be younger than I thought. Big deal. What use is that?
Probably just good at sweet–talking.
A sly smile touched Luna’s lips, though her expression remained one of pitiful vulnerability. “Grant… I’ve lost everything now. I only have you.”
Being publicly disgraced and disowned, Luna knew her days of being the center of admiration
were over.
But she was convinced this was temporary. Grant was a rising star. Once she became Grant’s wife, and time blurred the past, everyone would envy her status and fortune.
All she needed was that title.
A glint of ruthless ambition flashed in her eyes before she looked up again, tears welling as she clung to Grant.
He held her shoulders. “Don’t worry. I’ll always protect you.”
“Thank you, Grant. Thank you for standing with me against the world.” She let the tears fall, playing her part perfectly.
“Don’t cry anymore. You’ll make yourself sick,” he said, wiping her tears with feigned tenderness, his own anger simmering. “They don’t understand your struggle, especially given your… condition. You did nothing wrong. You just didn’t want regrets. They are the cruel ones, for pushing you like this!”
“Oriana, my parents… they don’t know the truth. I understand,” Luna sobbed softly. “I don’t blame them. When they find out the truth someday, they’ll regret this and forgive me, won’t they?”

“How could they not know? She-” Grant almost revealed that he had told Oriana about Luna’s supposed ‘terminal illness‘ long ago.
He still fumed at Oriana’s utter indifference, her lack of any concern.
Frustrated, he shifted targets. “And what about Cormac? He’s your doctor! What if today’s stress worsened your condition?”
“Grant, I’ll always remember Mr. Flint’s kindness. He’s already done so much for me this time… I failed him, I brought shame upon him…”
