Before Drystan could answer, Ethan muttered to himself, heart pounding. “It’s her. It really is her-”

At that moment, Ethan’s phone rang.

In a near–numb state, he answered. On the other end, Kai’s voice screamed so loud it nearly pierced his eardrums. “I found her, Ethan! I found her!”

“It’s Oriana,” Ethan said first.

“It’s her!”

Kai’s voice broke, choking on emotion. “Before Leo met Luna, Oriana had already come to pay respects to Niall and Rory. Later, she even brought a man and a group of Niall’s comrades with her!”

Kai’s voice trembled, almost crying. “Niall’s daughter is Oriana! We were completely wrong. I’ve been wrong all along!”

When they didn’t know the truth, they had defended Luna, even blocking Oriana, thinking she was bullying her. Kai felt a surge of panic and regret.

The woman who had taken the cash the fastest burst out crying. “It was Evelyn, Rory’s roommate back then. Her husband sent someone to make us keep it a secret. He promised ten thousand dollars every year if we didn’t tell anyone the babies were switched. We couldn’t resist, so we agreed.”
