It wasn’t a suggestion–it was an order.

Grant’s expression darkened further, and he quietly released Luna’s arm.

A flicker of embarrassment crossed Luna’s face, but she forced a smile. “Oh, Dad, Mom, we really wanted to bring you in, but we’re just guests. We can’t speak or arrange anything at the summit. If you’d told us earlier, we could have tried to make some special arrangements—but right now, Grant has no way to get special passes.”
Evelyn frowned, muttering in displeasure. “Wait a minute–you can’t get us in? But that young girl who brought Oriana in earlier said she could sneak us through, too. Why can Oriana go, but not us?”
Luna’s expression shifted slightly. “Oriana is here too?”
Then she reminded herself of something, trying to rationalize. “Well, her husband has connections, so of course she could rely on that to get in.”
Seeing Bramwell and Evelyn looking upset, Luna spoke again, carefully. “Dad, Mom, I know waiting in line out there has been tiring, but we can’t break the rules, right?”
Evelyn looked skeptical. She couldn’t believe that Oriana, a minor with no official status, could pull something off that even Grant couldn’t.
“But-”
“Enough,” Bramwell cut her off. “Since Luna says so, we’ll just wait.”
He gave her a meaningful tug and leaned in slightly. “You two go ahead inside. We’ll meet you there. Luna, this time you have to introduce us to those senior mentors in Jindiwood who have been looking out for you.”
He emphasized the last few words with deliberate weight.
Luna smiled faintly, “Alright.”
Grant gave them a nod, and Luna hooked her arm through his again. The pair, moving with ease and poise, led the way into the inner venue.
The remaining three returned to the security line.
And because they had stepped away, their previous spots were gone–they had to start over.

:
Evelyn’s eyes were red from the cold spring wind.
“See? It’s all your fault. Now we have to start over. How long is this going to take?”
Bramwell scoffed. “Blame Luna–she’s just protecting her fiancé’s reputation.

“And besides,” Bramwell continued, irritated, “if we make a scene out here and Grant decides to get tough, we could get blocked from entering entirely. Then everything we’ve done so far would be wasted!”
Evelyn hesitated. “But Luna keeps deflecting. Will we really get to see Mr. Stone?”
Bramwell sneered with disdain. “That’s no longer up to her!”

Once inside, Oriana was guided by Valka on a quick tour of the venue.
“This is the main stage. The summit will kick off here, and all the speeches will take place here. The first three rows are for leaders, while the fourth to sixth rows are for special guests. Oriana, your seat is in the fifth row, far left.
“Those three small doors over there lead to the exhibition area. After the speeches, representatives from various companies will showcase their latest products for visitors. A little spoiler, our center’s product this time is a real game–changer–it’s led by Micah’s team.”
Oriana’s eyes brightened. “Great! I have to check it out.”
Valka smiled, “Oriana, Micah, and the team are finishing up backstage. Do you want to go say
hi?”
Oriana thought for a moment. “He’s busy right before the presentation, isn’t he?
“Better to wait until after.”
“Wow, Oriana, you’re so thoughtful. Let’s take our seats first.”
“Okay.”
Less than half an hour before the summit officially began, guests and journalists were already finding their seats.
Shortly after Oriana sat down, she shifted her gaze and spotted Luna and Grant entering not long ago.
