Before long, another cluster of people appeared at the backstage entrance, murmuring and shifting about–clearly someone important had arrived.

The group that had been surrounding Luna and Grant dispersed, flowing toward the commotion.

Oriana stayed in her seat. From her distance, and with so many people in between, she couldn’t make out exactly which VIP had entered.

She chatted with Valka about some center–related anecdotes when suddenly, someone in the row ahead shifted to the side and turned slightly to look at her.

At first, Oriana thought they were just reacting to the noise of her conversation, but as her eyes swept past the front row, she suddenly met two familiar smiling faces.

“Mr. Caldwell? Mr. Stone?” she exclaimed in delight.

Four rows away, both Noah and Xander waved at her. Then Noah lowered his phone and dialed her.

“Oriana, come join us! You’ll see much better from up here,” Noah said, grinning.

“My seat’s fine, Mr. Caldwell,” she replied politely.

“No worries. This row is all stiff old–timers. Sitting alone there would be dull. Come up here with

your friends–you can chat a little too.”

“Okay. I’ll come find you after the speeches,” she said.

“No need, enjoy yourself first. Don’t worry about us,”

Oriana chuckled softly, “Alright.”

After hanging up, Noah turned back with a cheerful smile.

Seeing Xander leaning slightly back, Noah reached over to straighten him up.

The two older men blinked at each other in mild surprise.

Noah squinted suspiciously at Xander. “Since when have you been so attentive to Oriana?”

“You can talk all you want–money speaks louder,” Noah said bluntly, holding out his hand.

Xander rolled his eyes.

Rubbing his temple, he surveyed the crowd, already cordoned off by bodyguards, yet still filled with people eager to get close. He put on a serious expression.

After a moment’s thought, he added, “I’ve noticed Micah’s wife is somewhat like him. Both quiet, both avoid the spotlight.”

“Of course. Our family’s always been that way,” Noah said proudly, chest puffed out. “You know, before the official meeting, I even went to see Oriana incognito.”

“Oh? Really?” Xander’s curiosity piqued. “How did you do that?”

“I borrowed a classic trope–posed as a beggar to approach her. Gotta say, she’s genuinely kind and courteous. When she saw someone bothering me, she made them compensate me, ensuring I could live comfortably,” Noah said, his expression softening with fond memories.

“She really is a good person.”

Xander’s brows lifted, and a faint smile touched his eyes.

Then Noah’s face lit up. “Oh! Today’s the day Cordell went to Seabar to propose to Zara. I should call and check–it’d be awful if it got messed up the first time.”

Noah left, and almost immediately, a familiar sweet, slightly teasing voice reached Xander’s

ears.

“Mr. Stone! What a surprise! I didn’t expect to see you here!”

Xander paused, eyes darkening as he glanced toward Luna and the others, held back by bodyguards.

Luna, arm linked with Grant’s, spoke without hesitation. “Mr. Stone, this is my fiancé, Grant. I brought him to thank you–without your matchmaking, Grant wouldn’t have secured the collaborations with Smart Drive and the Oncology Center.”

Grant continued smoothly, “Thank you, Mr. Stone. I haven’t let

you

down.”

The crowd nearby nearly exploded.

Even the seated leaders gaped in surprise.
