Chapter 390 Luna’s Anger
Xander listened without expression, watching Luna and Grant navigate the crowd with composure and humility. A cold chuckle escaped him.
Even he had been played into her scheme–what cleverness!

She clearly realized that Xander would no longer respond or offer opportunities, so she had gone all in.
She thought Xander, indifferent to fame and fortune, would overlook such things?
Perhaps, for Niall’s sake, he might have.
But Niall’s achievements and honor had nothing to do with Luna!
Just as the scene was lively, three people pushed through the crowd desperately.
“Mr. Stone, we’re Luna’s parents. I’m Bramwell. Thank you for looking after Luna–we came specifically to express our gratitude!
“This is my son Owen. He takes after his sister the most. Since you’ve been so generous toward Luna, I’m sure you’ll like him too,” Bramwell added, shoving Owen forward eagerly.
Luna’s face twisted in frustration, barely managing to maintain her composure. “Dad, Mom, what are you-”
“Come on, Mr. Stone gave Grant so many advantages for your sake. We should thank him,” Bramwell interrupted, practically dragging Owen forward.
The onlookers were stunned.
Another layer of connection?
“Looks like it’s not just Mr. Holloway’s talent that Mr. Stone recognizes–his partner clearly has a deep connection with Mr. Stone too!”
“Mr. Holloway really married a remarkable woman. With all these advantages, how could one lose?”
Xander’s eye twitched. The chatter made his head ache.
He closed his eyes, and the bodyguards immediately sprang into action, ushering the intruders
out.

Luckily, a group of provincial leaders and foreign guests were entering at the same time, so no one dared to cause a scene and quickly dispersed.
Noah returned, eyeing the scattered crowd, then glanced at Xander, whose expression looked like he’d swallowed a live grenade. Curious, he asked, “Who set you off?”
“A bunch of idiots!” Xander, rare for him, cursed under his breath, taking a deep breath before calling Soren. “Move things along quickly. Now.”

“What? We haven’t even spoken to Mr. Stone yet!”
Bramwell protested, but the guards‘ stern looks silenced him.
“Dad! Mom!”
Luna approached, her tone sharp with impatience. “Why did you rush to Mr. Stone? Interrupting him like that is very impolite!”
Bramwell smirked. “You’re saying that, yet you brought Grant over yourself.”
“That’s different! I went with Grant to thank Mr. Stone. What you just did—where does that leave me?” Luna’s eyes brimmed with frustration and hurt.
“Where does that leave me? I had to figure out a way to get Owen into the Top Talent Program. Since you won’t help, I had to ask him myself!”
“Dad! I’m not refusing to help!”
Luna raised her voice slightly, drawing some attention, but lowered it quickly, not wanting to make a scene.
“Dad, trust me. Owen is my brother—I wouldn’t leave him unsupported. You’ve seen it. Grant’s reputation is at its peak. After the summit, his influence will be even greater. Any future requests will be much easier to handle!
“Go back to your seats, wait a little, and we’ll deal with it after the summit,” she urged.
Bramwell stared at her, frozen. Luna pressed on, anxiety tinging her words. “Dad, you can see for yourself—so many people are watching Grant shine today. Even the organizers gave us the best central seats. Don’t you understand what that means?
“Grant is my future husband. We’re one family–his honor is mine. His losses are mine. Can’t you tell which matters more?”

Bramwell followed her gaze toward Grant, who was already chatting amiably with industry peers.
He noticed the subtle flattery on their faces.
After a moment’s thought, he relented. “Alright, Luna. I understand. I’m doing this for you and your brother. You two are the real family.”
Luna’s eyes glimmered. “Of course. I’ll always look out for Owen.”
The host was already urging guests to take their seats. Seeing this, Bramwell finally led Evelyn and Owen to the back row.
Luna breathed a quiet sigh of relief, composed herself, and gracefully made her way to Grant.
“Grant?”
As she approached, people around them greeted her warmly. “Ms. Sterling has arrived!”
“Ms. Sterling is stunning–truly a perfect match for Mr. Holloway. They’re made for each other,” someone praised.
Luna smiled softly. Grant, ever the gentleman, offered his hand to help her sit. “You flatter us. We still have much to learn from our seniors.”
