Chapter 415 A Calculated Game
“That was the name you kept calling while holding me last night.” Jonathan slightly lowered her
gaze,
the smooth strands of her shoulder–length hair slipping forward with the movement, obscuring most of her cheek.
“Actually, it’s not just you, Mr. Holloway. Even Mr. Caldwell mistook that Ms. Sterling, but thinking carefully, we must look quite alike.”
her. I’ve never met
“Micah mistook you for Oriana too?” Grant let out a low, ambiguous chuckle. “No wonder he assigned you as the attending nurse.”
“Ms. Sterling must be a truly remarkable girl, to have earned the affection of both Caldwell.” Jonathan murmured almost absentmindedly, then added a seemingly casual
you and Mr. afterthought, “Though I’ve heard Mr. Caldwell is quite reclusive, even working from home. I wonder what series of coincidences led him to meet and fall in love with Ms. Sterling.”
After voicing this curiosity, Jonathan said no more. She released the door handle and left.
But that single remark lingered, causing Grant to stare blankly at Jonathan’s retreating, slender figure, lost in thought.
Jonathan, however, didn’t care what Grant was thinking. Her plan for last night was already accomplished.
After yesterday’s summit, Grant’s status had skyrocketed, and he had secured orders worth hundreds of millions. His future prospects were immeasurable.
Although Micah had won over countless fans at the summit, Jonathan’s numerous attempts to approach him at the hospital had been firmly rebuffed. Seeing the plot deviate more and more from the storyline she remembered, Jonathan analyzed the situation and decided to stick closer to the original script: abandon Micah and settle for the next bes
on–Grant.
Unexpectedly, things went smoothly than she had imagined. It seemed following the plot was the right move!
Now, she just needed to find a way to alter the original storyline where Grant was ultimately eliminated by Micah. Even though Oriana was still alive and well, Micah had now stolen the spotlight that originally belonged to Grant. If Jonathan wanted a better life in the future, she had to help Grant reclaim his throne!
For now, all she had to do was wait… wait for Grant to come looking for him…
Luna took the elevator up to the top floor where the Diamond Suite was located.

The bedroom door was slightly ajar, its interior unclear.
Driven by instinct, Luna moved in that direction. However, Grant, who had just finished a phone call on the sofa, looked over at her with an expressionless face and called her back. Luna’s eyes shifted. Reluctantly, she changed course and walked towards him.
“Grant.” Her tone was coquettish with a hint of complaint. As she approached him, she immediately caught the pungent smell of alcohol, cigarettes, and perfume clinging to him. Her expression soured. “Grant, your stomach isn’t good. How could you drink so much?”
“Was in a good mood last night,” Grant replied flatly.
“It is something to celebrate, but you should still show some restraint.” Luna chided him. “Your health is what matters most.”
Grant, seemingly reminded of something, turned his head and studied Luna thoughtfully, his gaze complex.
Luna blinked and smiled lightly. “Why are you looking at me like that? Did you miss me?”
As she spoke, she shyly leaned in, her red lips puckered for a kiss.
But Grant frowned slightly and subtly shifted away.
Meeting Luna’s suspicious look, he explained naturally, “Haven’t washed I’m dirty.”

Luna’s expression softened somewhat, thinking Grant was being considerate.
“I just feel like… you’ve changed,” Grant said.
Luna raised a hand to touch her face. “Changed how?“.
Grant stared at her but didn’t elaborate.

He realized Luna was becoming more controlling. Before, she might just have had people discreetly track his movements. Now, she was meddling everywhere, even speaking to him with an impatient tone.
He remembered when Luna was pursuing him, she constantly professed her admiration and love, claiming she didn’t ask for much–just a little of his time occasi high regard precisely because she always prioritized his career and p support. He was touched by her selflessness and consideration.
But now…
It was clear she wanted much more.

Luna found this baffling, but before she could press further, a knock sounded at the door.
“Mr. Holloway.” It was Oscar’s voice.
“Oscar!” Luna stood up, smiling brightly at Oscar. “I didn’t see you yesterday. Were you at the celebration party too?”
