When Oriana saw Micah sending a message from his phone, she leaned over out of curiosity. “You texted Xander?”

“Yes. I let him know about Luna and Grant’s wonderful newlywed news.”

Micah calmly slipped his phone back into his pocket. “It’s such a great day. We should send them a wedding gift.”

A chill ran down Oriana’s spine.

She knew Luna’s little jab earlier had definitely crossed Micah’s line.

Micah held grudges–deep ones. He would never let Luna swagger around without

consequences.

Now that the timing was perfect, he wasn’t going to wait any longer.

Luna and Grant might have gotten their marriage license today, but there was no way Micah would let them enjoy a smooth, blissful start.

Oriana thought for a moment, then lowered her voice. “Do you remember that rumor a few days ago about Luna being pregnant? I’m guessing she leaked that on purpose.”

Micah raised a brow. “Oh?”

“She somehow found out the truth about Zara and Kenny’s marriage, but the public has no idea. I’m guessing she overheard something by accident and used it to her advantage.”

Oriana added softly, “There’s no way the timing would be that convenient otherwise.”

Micah thought it over, then reached out and brushed his hand gently through her hair. “You’re brilliant, sweetheart.”

Oriana’s cheeks warmed. “It just came to mind. Luna faked an illness before just to manipulate Grant. And this time, we still don’t know whether the pregnancy is real.”

Micah’s smile deepened. “You pieced all that together from one rumor. You’re sharp. Real or not, it’s impressive.”

“Mr. Caldwell, you need more practice with your sweet talk.” Oriana tried not to laugh.

Micah nodded solemnly, as if taking notes. “Alright. I’ll study up when we get home.”

Oriana laughed so hard that she almost dropped her phone.

Ahead of them, Kenny and Zara glanced back, only to find the two of them wrapped up in their own little world, completely ignoring the soon–to–be newlyweds in front. The couple exchanged looks, speechless.

“Micah, why don’t you two run through the ceremony again? I’ll shoot it for you!”

“I agree. Oriana’s smile is way sweeter than ours. Exactly what that photographer meant when he said ‘show genuine emotion.”

Earlier, when Kenny and Zara took their wedding photos, the photographer kept complaining that they didn’t look in love.

And honestly, they weren’t.

Oriana’s ears turned pink. “Stop fooling around, you two. Go over there. I’ll take a few pictures of you instead.”

Meanwhile, Luna and Grant had just received their freshly issued marriage license, each with their own thoughts.

Luna, beaming from ear to ear, immediately raised the booklet and snapped a photo. She deliberately angled her hand so her giant diamond ring flashed in full view. Then she uploaded the picture to her social media, adding a caption. “For the rest of my life, happiness is having you two.”

It was a not–so–subtle announcement of her pregnancy and newlywed joy.

The moment she posted it, comments flooded in to congratulate her.

Grant also pulled out his phone right away to check the online buzz.

The media had been building hype beforehand, and now the entire internet was filled with photos of them arriving at city hall to get their marriage license.

“Grant, wait, I should call you honey now.” Luna blinked shyly. “Honey, let’s celebrate tonight. I booked a candlelight din-”

Grant’s eyes stayed glued to his screen as he replied to messages. “I’ll have my assistant drive

home. You’re not in the best shape. Get some rest. After I secure the Dudbein contract today, I’ll be busy for a while. We’ll talk later.”

Luna opened her mouth to protest again, but a call came in on Grant’s phone, the manager of the marketing department.

He gestured for her to be quiet and answered the call with a smile. “It’s about the Dudbein client, right? So the signing is set for this aft-”

Before he could finish, Grant’s expression collapsed. “What? They’re backing out?”

His face darkened instantly. “What the hell is this? They begged us for that contract! And now they’re walking away?”

“Mr. Holloway,” the manager said tensely, “you should check the trending searches. It’s not just the Dudbein client; the rest of our partnerships are running into trouble, too!”
