Zara glared at him. “What truth?”

Kenny looked straight at her and said, “Micah would never, ever disregard Oriana–even if it cost him his own life.”

He said this with unprecedented seriousness and gravity.

Zara stared at him, momentarily stunned and speechless, perhaps shocked by his demeanor and unsure how to react.

Seeing the woman beneath him, who had been so noisy just moments ago, now quiet and wearing a dazed, bewildered expression with wide, clear eyes, Kenny’s triumphant smirk slowly faded. His gaze unconsciously wandered over her clean, fair face before finally settling on Zara’s pink lips.

That night at the movies… he didn’t remember what happened afterward.

His memory seemed to blur again, forgetting once more what it was like to kiss her.

What drove him even crazier was that he, who had never paid much attention to matters of romance, felt his body craving her as if addicted, driven by an instinctual desire to explore.
