“Are you dumb? Driving takes over three hours, but the high–speed train is just over an hour. And now there’s traffic. Look at the map–getting out of the city will probably take at least two hours. Why waste the time? After a day of flying and driving around, aren’t you tired? Oriana
and I sure are.”
Zara complained irritably, showing Kenny her phone’s map.
At a glance, seeing several routes on the map solidly blocked in deep red, Kenny also felt troubled.
“Seriously? Why have a concert at a time like this!”
Kenny scratched his head. “But Micah isn’t used to crowded, chaotic places. The train station is even messier than the airport…”
It was safe to say that in his life, Micah had never used any mode of transportation other than planes and cars.
Oriana thought for a moment and suggested, “How about you two take the train to Pyre City, and we go in the car Kieran arranged?”
“That won’t work! Oriana, have you forgotten you get carsick? If we’re stuck in stop–and–go traffic the whole way, how will you handle it?”
“But…”
“It’s fine. I can handle an hour or so. Let’s go to the train station,” Micah said.
“Micah?”
Not only was Kenny shocked, but even Oriana was surprised.
She looked at him worriedly. “The train station is crowded and noisy. We should still take the
car…”
Patting her hand reassuringly, Micah spoke again, his tone firm, “It’s fine. Let’s follow Zara’s plan and go to the train station.”
Zara didn’t give Kenny a chance. “That settles it! See, even he says it’s okay. Stop worrying so much!”
Then, she winked at the concerned Oriana. “Really, Micah is worried you’ll get carsick. Just

Oriana gripped Micah’s arm tightly, leaning against him, momentarily speechless.
Upon learning they were switching transportation to the train station, Kieran, back in Jindiwood, immediately contacted the relevant personnel.
As soon as they arrived at the station, someone came to receive them and led them through a special entrance, barely avoiding the most crowded areas.
Because it was a last–minute decision to take the train, only the first and last cars of that train had business class seats. There were no four consecutive seats available, only three in one car and one in another.
Kenny wasn’t comfortable with only Oriana accompanying Micah, so through the staff, he negotiated with a passenger in the front car and bought out their business class ticket at triple the price. Combined with the two they already had and the one empty seat, the four of them could still be in the same car for convenience.
As soon as they entered the car, Oriana caught a whiff of an extremely strong and unpleasant perfume.
Kenny smelled it too and immediately stopped, turning to look at Micah. “Micah, put on a mask.”
Micah nodded, and Oriana was already taking out a mask to put on him.
In the business class car, four passengers were already seated, leaving only three seats.
But there should have been four seats available.
Oriana noticed a little girl with two colorful braids sitting in the seat they had swapped for with the passenger from the other car.
Zara exchanged a glance with Oriana. She walked over and said patiently, “Sweetie, this is my seat. Did you sit in the wrong place?”
The little girl looked blankly at Zara, then at the ticket in her hand.
At that moment, a meticulously dressed woman sitting ahead jumped up, pointing a finger at Zara. A wave of pungent perfume wafted over.
“Are you blind? How is this your seat? This spot wasn’t sold; it’s empty. First come, first served, don’t you know?”
