Chapter 508 On the Way
Immediately, she heard Micah’s low, slightly hoarse voice. “You don’t need to envy her.”
At first, Oriana didn’t quite understand the remark.

Then, hearing Zara next to her complaining that Kenny was clumsy and had spilled her melon seeds, Oriana finally caught on a moment later.
She looked up at him with a bright smile. “I’m not envying her. I’m happy for Zara that Niamh values her so much.”
Even if Niamh’s regard was largely due to the baby.
But at least regarding Zara, Niamh’s efforts were impeccable–thorough and thoughtful.
Micah simply held her hand firmly and said, “I didn’t consider such arrangements for our previous trips. I’ll make the arrangements next time.”
“No, don’t! For just the two of us, we should go for whatever’s most convenient. No need for such extravagance.”
Oriana quickly corrected his thinking, worried their next trip might involve even more dramatic gestures.
This journey required flying from Jindiwood to Dracary in the southwest, then transferring to Pyre City.
The flight was three and a half hours long. At first, Zara was fascinated, touching everything and picking a pet movie to watch.
Unexpectedly, halfway through, it hit the classic tearjerker scene. Zara’s emotions flared up, and she started crying uncontrollably. Kenny tried every trick in the book, but nothing could soothe her.
By the time they disembarked, Zara’s eyes were swollen like walnuts. Oriana could only shake her head at the sight.
Kenny was on edge, terrified that his grandfather or parents might video–call right then–he’d never be able to explain himself. “You shouldn’t watch that stuff in the future. They’re just designed to make you cry.”
Zara glared at him with her red, puffy eyes, furious. “I like watching them, I’m going to watch them, and it’s none of your business!”
Kenny didn’t dare argue. He raised his hands in surrender. “Fine, my lady. Watch whatever you want. It’s none of my okay?”
business,
Zara snorted and walked ahead, ignoring him.
Kenny rubbed his nose gloomily, muttering to himself. Just then, Oriana and Micah, arm in arm, passed by him. Kenny took a couple of quick steps forward and, unable to resist, asked cheekily, “Was she this terrible when she dated before?”
Oriana shook her head. “No, Zara’s never been in a relationship before.”
Kenny thought she was joking. “Impossible. She clearly has loads of experience.”
Oriana frowned, looking at him seriously. “It’s true. Don’t be fooled by Zara’s carefree, easygoing appearance. Her romantic experience is truly zero.”
Then she looked puzzled at Kenny’s stunned expression. “Haven’t you talked to Zara about this?”

“We have! She said herself she’s experienced!”

Oriana fell silent. “If reading romance novels and watching anime counts as experience, then yes, she’s very experienced!”
“What?!”
Kenny still didn’t believe it. “Impossible. I think she’s secretly dated without telling you.”
How could Zara have never dated? If that were true, then he was her first love?
Ugh, no!
Wait, they weren’t even dating! What first love?!
Besides, how could a woman who’d never been in a relationship just get intimate with a man when drunk?
The moment he heard Oriana say Zara had never dated, Kenny couldn’t control his body–his heart started pounding wildly out of rhythm.
But he kept convincing himself inwardly, certain that Zara wasn’t as innocent and naive as Oriana imagined.
Coincidentally, Kenny subconsciously turned his attention toward Zara. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her walking toward a strange man he didn’t recognize. Kenny tensed up and strode over immediately. “What are you doing?!”
“But Zara…”
Oriana clearly wanted to say more, but Kenny was already far away.
Oriana pursed her lips, feeling angry on Zara’s behalf. “How could Kenny think of Zara like that? Does he really believe Zara is just a frivolous person?”
Micah felt a bit unfairly implicated by Kenny’s actions, but he didn’t have much interest in other people’s romantic affairs.
After a moment of contemplation, to soothe her mood, he said, “Don’t be angry. I’ll have Niamh and Grandfather discipline him later.”
Oriana humphed noncommittally.
Kenny, who had already walked away, who was already halfway down the street, suddenly shivered and glanced over his shoulder.
Why do I feel like someone’s talking behind my back…?
Turned out Zara had gone to meet Kieran, who had pre–arranged a car to take them straight from the airport to Pyre City.
Unexpectedly, a popular celebrity was holding a concert in the city these two days. The driver was stuck in traffic and was still only halfway there. After a long phone call, Zara decisively decided to take a taxi to the high–speed rail station and catch the earliest train to Pyre City.
Kenny’s heart sank when he heard they were going to the train station. “What? The car? Kieran already arranged a car. Why not wait for it?”
