Chloe’s POV

“Hacked?” Alpha Davis’s brows scrunched. “I don’t know.”

“Can I try?” I asked him.

I was not going to try myself but I knew a computer whiz who could make magic out of dust. We had met at some summer camp that David had forced me to go for because Hannah was going.

His presence had been the highlight of the two-week program, especially when he hacked Hannah’s phone and wiped everything.

Luna Silvia slapped his chest for taking too long to think about it. “What the hell, David? Do what you

need to do?”

“Okay, I will probably need some passwords but let me talk to him first,” I said, my fingers already scrolling through my chats to find one from two years ago.

The phone rang for so long that I thought he was not going to pick up. Just when I was about to end it and try again, the call connected.

“I cannot believe that you forgot me after all that time we spent together,” his cheeky but a lot deeper

voice came through the speakers.

I flinched because of the hurt underlying his words.

“I am so sorry. Life has been…it has been crazy,” I tried to explain but he sighed.

“I knew you were not going to remember me anyways so it is fine. Why did you call?I mean, I do not think that you are the kind of person who calls only when they want something…fucking hell. You totally called because you want something.”

“I am so sorry, Liam-”

“Thank the heavens that she remembers my name,” he interjected to say.

Ah, crap. The least I could have done was keep in touch after we had hit off so well.

“I’m not mad, Chloe. You’re cool, a little annoying and antisocial but cool. What’s wrong? Is this a booty call? I might be a little too far to respond to one-”

“I need you to help me hack someone’s phone,” I said and then gave him a brief explanation of the situation, leaving out every important name and things that would identify the pack to Moonflame.

He was silent as he listened, that kind of silent as he slowly slipped into genius hacker mode.

“How soon do you need it?” he said, the sound of his fingers flying across the keyboard coming through the speaker.

I looked back at Luna Silvia and Alpha David who were fully tuned into the conversation, a glimmer of hope sparkling in their eyes. “As soon as possible, please. It’s really urgent.”

“Anything for my Pooh bear,” he said and the call ended.

My phone lit up with a text as he requested the personal details he needed from her to make the work

faster.

I typed him an ok and turned around, coming face to face with a chest. When had he snuck up on me?

Axel was glaring down at my phone. “Who was that?”

Luna Silvia stepped in and took my phone. “A hacker who is going to help us with Silvia’s phone. Chloe honey, will he be able to clone it? Her recent messages might give us a clue.”

“That’s the plan,” I said and she started typing in response to him.
