Chapter 74
Chloe’s POV
I left the house through the back door to the beautiful sound of Hannah and Chloe screaming at each
other.
Tony and Axel were waiting for me, about a quarter mile away from the backyard. As I approached them, I ripped the bandage off my head and let my wolf heal the wound.
Axel looked at the wound and there seemed to be amusement playing in his eyes but I pretended not to
notice it. “Did you do it?”
I smiled. The only reason I was helping Axel with this matter was how problematic I knew Crane could become down the line for me. If he continued forcing his daughter onto Axel, this would cause serious problems for me when the pack no longer saw me as the Luna in training.
“It was not very difficult to get Hannah to trip up and embarrass David,” I said, shrugging. All she needed was a little push.
Axel carrying me and taking me to the cabin for an entire day helped loads. David probably still had that last threat from Axel at the back of his mind when Hannah started going crazy and pushed me.
Tony crossed his arms, brows scrunched in thought. “Are you sure that she is going to approach Celestia? I mean, even if she does, why would Celestia want anything to do with her?”
That was where the next part of the plan would come in. And for that, I needed Axel’s utmost
cooperation.
“Axel, I want you to ask Celestia out to dinner-”
“No way,” he replied bluntly, looking at me like I was now the crazy one.
I rolled my eyes. “You can go to a banquet with her and suddenly, dinner crosses the line.”
He was about to speak but I held up a hand to stop him, thinking deeply. Maybe him asking her out to dinner might be a bit of a stretch. It could actually hasten my decline as a respected Luna in training.
“How about you leave heavy hints of you needing some time to relax?” I suggested next. Yes. It would be better for the plan if Celestia made the offer herself.
“Just speak about it multiple times to different people, maybe asking them for suggestions on what you should do on a restful day off. Celestia will get to hear of it soon.”
Tony’s eyes suddenly lit up as he understood where I was going with this.
His hand clamped down on a very confused Axel’s shoulder. “You need to get her to ask you out.”
Axel looked even more annoyed at Tony touching him. He slapped his Beta’s hand away. “I will not be doing this plan.”

“You have not heard the whole thing,” I said, rolling my eyes. Goddess, he could be so unbelievably
grumpy.
Imagine if this was a real marriage. I would have had to spend the rest of my life around his crappy
attitude.
“You are not going on a date with her. Let her give you her suggestions and then, you do it but with
someone else…”
I trailed off, hearing a branch snap in the distance near us. Tony and Axel’s heads snapped in unison to our left at the same time. “Who is that?” Tony asked, his entire body tensed.
It took another full minute before the person was able to reach us. Celestia poked her head past the trees, a bright smile on her face. “Axel, what a surprise to see you here. I was out on a walk to clear my
head.”
We were in a section of the forest that hardly anyone knew about. How much did she think we were idiots to believe that she had wandered this far away from the pack to this stretch of the forest at the same time Axel was here?
As she walked closer to us, she tripped over her and fell accurately in Axel’s direction, letting out a dramatic cry. Axel stepped out of the way with Tony moving to catch her.
Celestia’s eyes were closed as her hand closed down on Tony’s chest. “Axel, thank you so much. I have just been so clumsy recently-”
Tony cleared his throat, snapping her out of her daze. Her eyes flew open and she shot away from Tony, anger and embarrassment tinting her cheeks deeply. She had been so deep into her drama that she had not even smelled and realized that the man who was holding her was the wrong one.
I turned away and let out a small laugh disguised as a cough. Axel sent me a pointed glare that only
added to my amusement.
Celestia played with her hair, looking between all three of us. “W-What were you guys talking about? Maybe I can help?”
Tony glanced at me and I nodded, turning to leave. Celestia needed to be bold enough without me getting in her way.
“I was asking him for movie suggestions,” Axel said in a monotone voice like the words were being forced out of his mouth. I sent him a glare over my shoulder and he cleared his throat, lightening his tone. “Everyone says that watching movies at the cinema is a relaxing experience.”
Tony added fuel to the fire. “Axel, there is no point going to a cinema if you are going to go alone. You should find someone to keep you company. It is a lot more fun that way.”
Tony’s phone rang like it was a paid actor. “Mara said Luna wants to see me. I need to go.”
Tony caught up to me as I was walking away and winked at me before jogging ahead. He was a good
