My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 314

She couldn't stop the corners of her lips from curving upward.

This man truly had a heart of gold.

...

Around two in the afternoon, right after Seraphina had coaxed Hudson to sleep, her phone buzzed.

It was a video call from Grandmother Eleanor.

Seraphina answered, and the elderly woman's beaming face instantly filled the screen.

"Sera, are you out of the hospital? Did you make it home?"

"We're home, Grandmother Eleanor."

"Where's Hudson? Let me see my great-grandson!"

Seraphina angled the camera toward the crib. The old woman stared at the screen for a long time, looking completely ecstatic.

"Oh my goodness, this child changes every single day! He's even handsomer than he was yesterday. Look at that nose—it's exactly like Lucian's when he was a baby."

Seraphina glanced down at Hudson in the crib and smiled. "There is a resemblance."

"He's the spitting image of him!" Eleanor declared, leaving no room for debate. "By the way, have you two thought about Hudson's Welcome Gala yet? Do you want to host it at the main estate, or at your place?"

Seraphina was momentarily stunned; she genuinely hadn't given it a single thought.

She instinctively looked over at Lucian.

Lucian walked over, took the phone, and spoke directly into the screen. "Grandma, there's no rush. Sera was just discharged. Let her rest for a few days before we figure out the details."

"Resting is one thing, the gala is another! Those are two separate matters. If you don't want to stress over it, I'll handle everything on my end. You two just need to show up with the baby."

Lucian glanced at Seraphina. Seeing that she wasn't opposed to the idea, he nodded. "Then you can start the preparations. We'll hammer out the specifics later."

"Perfect, perfect. You two get some rest, I won't bother you anymore." Eleanor hung up the phone, thoroughly satisfied.

Seraphina leaned back against the sofa and murmured, "Grandma Eleanor is so invested in this child."

"She's been praying for a great-grandson for years," Lucian stated.

Seraphina rested her head on his shoulder and suddenly asked, "Lucian, do you think we can really stay this peaceful forever?"

Lucian's arm tightened around her. "Why would you ask that?"
