My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 325

Early the next morning, Seraphina woke up to find the space beside her empty.

Heading downstairs, she found Lucian in the dining room, sipping black coffee with a half-eaten piece of toast on his plate.

"You're up early," she remarked, taking a seat across from him.

"I have a nine o'clock with Alistair." Lucian checked his watch. "I'll be heading out soon."

Susan brought out a bowl of oatmeal. Seraphina took a spoonful and asked casually, "How do you plan on handling him?"

"Carrot first, then the stick," Lucian replied smoothly.

Seraphina wasn't entirely sure what that meant, but she didn't press for details.

She had absolute faith in his brilliance.

After breakfast, Lucian changed into a sharp suit and prepared to leave.

Reaching the front door, he paused and glanced back at her.

"Stay home with the baby today. Don't go running off."

"I know, I know," Seraphina replied, waving him off while bouncing Little Bean in her arms.

She was still in the middle of her postpartum recovery—it wasn't like she was going clubbing.

Lucian's gaze shifted to Little Bean. The tiny newborn was wide awake, his dark, expressive eyes staring right back at him.

Walking back over, Lucian pressed a tender kiss to his son's forehead.

"Daddy's off to secure your trust fund."

Little Bean blinked and let out a soft, garbled coo.

It almost sounded like a tiny, enthusiastic cheer.

Watching the exchange, Seraphina couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Look at that. Your son is rooting for you."

A faint smile touched Lucian's lips before he turned and stepped out the door.
