My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 324

Seraphina was consumed by worry, her mind racing well into the night.

After washing up, she leaned against the headboard with a book in her hands, but she hadn't turned a single page. Her thoughts were completely hijacked by Landon and Paradox.

When Lucian stepped out of the bathroom, he immediately noticed her distant expression.

Towel-drying his hair, he walked over and sat on the edge of the mattress. "Still stressing over Paradox?"

Seraphina set the book aside with a heavy sigh. "I just have a really bad feeling about this."

"Alistair is a sharp businessman. He wouldn't shoot himself in the foot."

"But what if Landon promises him something you can't?"

"Like what?"

Seraphina opened her mouth but found herself at a loss for words.

It wasn't like she could just blurt out, *Our newborn son told me Landon is going to use Paradox to destroy you.*

"I just know we can't afford to drag this out," she insisted, leaning into her stubborn streak. "You promised me you'd trust my instincts."

Seeing the fierce determination in her eyes, Lucian let out a low chuckle.

"Alright. I'll trust your instincts. I'll head over to Paradox tomorrow and speak with Alistair face-to-face." He reached out and affectionately ruffled her hair.

If she was this adamant about it, he was more than willing to step in personally.

Lucian didn't entirely understand why, but the absolute last thing he wanted was to let her down.

Seraphina's eyes lit up instantly. "You really will?"

"Yes," Lucian replied smoothly, leaning back against the headboard. "If it's important to you, then I'll treat it as a top priority."

A wave of immense relief washed over Seraphina. She leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "Thank you."

Lucian's arm swept around her waist, pulling her flush against him as he deepened the kiss.

"No need to thank me. You're my wife."

......

Deep into the night, Seraphina had already fallen into a peaceful slumber.

Lucian, however, was wide awake. He quietly slipped out of bed, headed into his study, and fired up his laptop.
