My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 350

"Look at you. Making all these sacrifices for that little thing," Tiff said, staring at her with profound pity.

Seraphina smiled softly. "It'll be easier once he's a little older."

"Older? Wait until he starts walking. That's when the real exhaustion hits." Tiff shook her head. "I think you're locked in for life."

Seraphina didn't argue.

If she was locked in, she was locked in happily.

...

Inside the hotel, Zelda and the portly man stepped into the elevator, one after the other.

The second the elevator doors slid shut, the man's hands eagerly clamped onto her waist, sliding down the curve of her hip.

"What's the rush? We're in an elevator, there are cameras," Zelda scolded playfully, swatting his hand away while shooting him a seductive glance.

The man chuckled lecherously and pulled his hand back, though his hungry gaze remained glued to her. "It's been so long. I missed you."

"Save the lines." Zelda rebuked him verbally, but the corners of her lips curled up in clear satisfaction.

The man's name was Barnaby Briggs, though everyone in the business called him Barney.

He ran Briggs Masonry & Supply. He wasn't a major player by any means, but he had deep pockets and was lavish with his spending.

Zelda had hooked up with him at a cocktail party.

At the time, Samuel was drowning in corporate crises and had no time to entertain her. She had been wandering the venue bored out of her mind when Barney boldly approached her. One thing led to another, and they became well acquainted.

And eventually, acquainted in bed.

Initially, Zelda had reservations. She was, after all, Mrs. Simmons. If word got out, she would be completely blacklisted from high society.

But Barney was incredibly smooth-talking and more than willing to spend. He showered her with designer bags and jewelry, thoroughly sweeping her off her feet.

Over time, she grew bolder.

Samuel was perpetually buried in his failing business anyway; he never noticed what she was up to.
